Just something I picked up of the Hatton forum a little while back and was wondering if anyone else had heard anything about his proposed Christmas song release...... (Forgive the slightly off topic poptastic theme lol)

Hi ho Ricky Hatton is coming out for Christmas apparrently. I can't believe that last year I was on this forum buzzing about the fact I'd be heading to Vegas in a few months to see him fight Mayweather. Now he's releasing a song to try and become Christmas no 1! WTF? I could never normally be accussed of being a fair weather fan BUT come on Ricky PLEASE STOP WITH THE POPULARITY COMPETITION!

I really don't want to go off Ricky but he's in danger of losing fans that respect him for being the world class fighter that I believe him to be.

Yeah right there with ya bud and couldnt agree more ... he has even been heard to say IF he loses to Malinagi .... stop there as the word IF never used to be a part of his vocabulary...

Me too re ko ing Malinagi ... and lets be honest, if he is anything like his best he will do just that, but its worrying to see a fighter taking on board christmas songs, nuts tv and after dinner speeches when he's preparing to fight a world title fight......it sets the alarm bells ringing dont ya think,

Make no mistakes Hatton will not KO Malignaggi...He will lose to Malignaggi...IMO Hatton already doubts himself...Paulie will play Hatton...Ricky wikll be come forward and try to slug then hold...Paulie will run circles around him and pop him with angles Hatton is an accumulation puncher no a KO artist...Paulie can take punches all night and if Hatton can not land on a regular basis it will be an embaressing UD on his record

As usual .. well put Daxx, and at this stage tho Im not as certain as yourself that he will lose .. it is a hell of a potential banana skin and not to be taken lightly at all as he really could lose this fight ... but on the what if front I do think a peak Hatton would catch up with and deliver an accumalative ko, as you say and I agree Hatton is no one punch ko merchant .. and never has been ... whats more worrying is that Im picking up from Hatton a little self doubt about this fight.....

I said I "HOPE" he KOs Malignaggi, that's simply because I'm biased and STILL a Hatton fan. Malignaggi is extremely slippery and resilient and I realise that in his last fight we didn't see anywhere near the best of him due to his injured hand. If Ricky can corner him and slow him down with his body shots he may wear him down and win by about the 10th. However, I realise that that is a big IF, he definately has lost some confidence and even punch resistance. If Ricky walks onto a few uppercuts when he tries to come inside his self doubt will grow. He's not the same boxer that seemed impervious to Tszyu's best shots BUT I still HOPE he wins by KO / Stoppage. Like I say, I'm still a fan and inherently biased towards him.
