Vitali would still bash everyone up no problem - including his brother (obviously thats not happening).
Agreed about the Williams comparison. Vitali just dismantled Peter and just kept increasing the voltage round by round. Its just Peter didnt really want to go down.

No doubt Vitali has returned and proven himself the best out there.

Tyson think your way off i dont think Peter is on Vitalis level and never would be he is not good against the elite. What makes you think he could hurt Vitali he is not his brother the man has never been down in his career and he has faced far bigger punchers then sam big time i would say. To me i sounds like your sore but i dont know why Vitali is better champion and he knocks out top guys in the division so to me better champion if any thing should be happy been a while since we have had one dude be happy.

im not sore im not even a big Sam Peter fan just he never really tried anything he gave up and he has fought so much better than he did last night as for Vitali he was not anything special last night so i wouldn't be getting to excited.

I think Haye could knock either of these out he would hit Vitali from alot more angles than Peter did vitali was blowing from about round 4 or 5 he got a gift from Sam Peter who fought like a bum and quit like a heartless bum.But don't think i don't know that both Wlad and Vitali could also KO Haye

Anyone else think that Sam Peter's gameplan was a steaming turd??

It looked as if he rocked up expecting to fight a midget and then all of a sudden looked over and saw 6foot8 Vitali across the ring from him.

Against Vitali, a guy of Peter's height has got to work damn hard to get inside. His training camp should have been spent sparring against giants, practising the head movements and quick footwork that Tyson used to great effect against taller opponents.

He was a human punching bag in there tonight - his effort and gameplan were so sadly lacking it wasn't funny. I heard his trainer yell 'move your head' and 'keep your hands up'. That is what you are taught on your first night in a boxing gym.

Another heavyweight title fight, another massive dissapointment - another reason every boxer in the world over 200lb should be shot. Shoot em all, start over.
Good post. There was no strategy there, really exposed him for the limited fighetr he is.

Peter absorbed at least a hundred solid and hard punches from a 6'8 250+ lb man that's knocked out virtually everyone he's fought. He was busted up from the second round on. Peter didn't quit like a bum. He took a massive beating and I don't think he even landed a single solid shot.

The fact is Vitali had a great night and Peter had a bad one.

Peter was WBC champion of the world he shouldn't quit he didn't even have much facial damage he should have fought to the end.

Vitali's performance was good I think Peter's however was not even world challenger level never mind world Champion he really disappointed me with that performance yesterday.

That was one of the biggest non-efforts Ive seen by a reigning heavyweight champion.Vitali came back very strong and not a sign of rust in the house but Peter had an obligation,to himself first and foremost,to at least assert himself, make adjustments, commit to his power,Something for shits sack!!

Its not only Peter that shows no effort. Thompson was awful and pretty much every challenger recently has just not cared . Thats why the 3 champs Vitali , Wvlad and Valuev are all tall fighters who take no risks and thats all they need to be sucessful .

I watched a few of the rounds earlier. Klitshko must have landed about 90% of the punches he threw!!

Did they show the punch stats at the end of the fight?
