I think Pernell is definitely more exciting to watch then Floyd, His style is more geared towards that, I think comparing Pernell and Floyd is like comparing Hopkins and Roy JOnes Jr.

Hopkins is a defense first fighter, who in his prime was more exciting than Roy Jones Jr to some, but as they went on Roy still had his incredible speed, while Bernard threw less and less punches.

I the same thing here, but that Floyd wasn't necessarily as exciting as Pernell, but he certianly was as exciting in plenty of fights (Ndou, Chavez, Corrales, Augustus, Corley, etc.) I think as he got bigger Floyd doesn't throw combinations or that jab like he did in his prime, but go back and watch him against Genaro Hernandez or Chavez, and you will him throwing beautiful combinations, but all in all Floyd and Bernard didn't and don't have flashy styles, They are no nonsense fighters that make fewer mistakes then anyone else.

For me it wasn't Pernell output that made him more exciting, but all that hot dogging and cocky defensive skills he used, I am sure Floyd could do most of that stuff, but he would rather not take the chance. Floyd fought within his security blanket while Pernell brashly mocked his opponents, large and small alike.
