That is one giant-sized freakin neck! ha.
For sure hard to judge much of anything from that fight...other then he can throw a punch and put a man down. Suppose time and more fights will tell the tale on him better. I'd watch his next fights.

Sorry I did not feed you in posting your "Friend" with hype.....
You stated Have you seen a HW recently that looks like this?
I asked in what way....
The Imbragimov comment was due to the fact that he is a big guy who really just seems like that nothing more then a big guy...
It is easy to look the way he did against a guy with 30+ losses on his record......
First fight or not his camp should teach him the meaning of the word "Jab"......
At 30 yrs old with so much more needed to develop he will run out of time before he can.....
I have seen dozens of heavyweight fighters who looked more impressive in their debuts.....And Fizzled out.........
The 3 punches he was hit with he paused and once even took a step back (Those were not hard punches)...So that tells me he has no chin....
But if it makes you feel better..
He looked awesome...This guy is the biggest threat out there to Vitaly right now and it is only his debuet......His opponent was fantastic but Larry boy just out shined him.....
Feel better now...So save the name calling and the whole knickers in a bunch crap...and the insulting of me being a writer...You sound like a bitter little cry baby.....
Just because you post something on someone and they are your friend do not expect nothing but praise when you ask questions like have you seen a HW recently that looks like this,,,,Just post what you want..
"Please tell me my buddy will be the next big thing'
And when the opponent is 2-33 with his only wins over guys with an 0-7 and 1-13 yet has been getting beaten by guys with 0-0 records across the board.....I put nothing into nthe performance..
And please do pick this up again when he claims his first title...And make sure it is a legit one....
So I might as well consider this conversation closed

He definitely smothers his punches and his defense is non-existant. These aren't things that even a novice fighter should have even if it is his first fight. And at 29 years old, hate to say it, but old dogs don't (usually) learn new tricks. It will be really hard for him to not smother his punches and learn defense. He opens himself up big time when he throws those slow punches and unless he can address these things I don't see him getting out the basement. He's got great power, though, and I like that he isn't a plodding HW. He actually moves his feet to get into better position, but he just gets eager when he makes contact and gets too close. Tell your boy to keep heart. If he can see what we all can see and do something about it I like his chances for what he naturally brings to the table. And tell him to keep busy! At his age he needs to put like 8 fights under his belt per year for at least 2 years. If he's still around at like 35 there's no reason he can't be fighting someone for a belt.
Oops
Good constructive criticism. Thanks Killface and everyone else who has posted. Just the comment about his age though, with 15 amateur bouts and 1 pro I think he can still learn new things and improve. As Scrap said his attitude and dedication is fantastic.
Spoke to him today and he said he knows his defence was shit in the fight and he'll be looking to work on that amongst other things.
He looks good enough for his first fight to me, I've seen a lot worse. I like that he goes to the body, he clinches on the inside as to not allow the man with shorter arms to get any work done. I wish he would lead off with his jab more as to not get countered badly. From what I've seen I don't think 30 is that bad depending on how he has treated his body to this point, If he works extremely hard he could have 10 more years in the sport, and he definitely has the raw tools to reach the top level of the sport(though he might be too slow). Its the technical ones he will have to develop, and thats what will be interesting to see. Keep updating us on him. I also think if he used his jab more effectively it would keep the range which would allow him not to smother his punches.
He doesn't seem to be bad.Of course nerves, that first time taking the headgear off,the smaller gloves. Everything comes into play at the point right before the bell rings. Hell wasn't that a first round KO. I like him already.
Not sure what the holding was about after the shots from the journeyman..but I know a lot of these journeymen open up and throw lots of smothering shots whilst walking forward usually ending up in a clinch. Maybe it was a bit of both.
He definitely has a chin though, I've seen him and Terry Dunstan going all out in sparring and Larry hasn't even flinched. (which is why I'm chuckling at Daxx's 'no chin' comment because Terry Dunstan knocked Lennox out in sparring whilst serving as Lennox's sparring partner so he can definitely fling shots).
Hell, one training session it was me AND Terry Dunstan vs Larry and we pretty much beat the shit out of him for 4 rounds and he didn't even flinch. (Terry more than me) Believe me the chin department is fine.
He'll really appreciate the constructive critcism though, he's very humble and I'm certain he'll work on his weaknesses. Very good points by all![]()
Althugz, Terry didnt Kod Lennox,They stopped it because Lennox was getting bashed up and getting Hurt but He never went down.

My mistake scrap, thanks for the clarification. As you know people can put different spins on stories.
You were there right? I think I remember reading the thread about it..
Get over it you fucking baby....Just because I did not hype your man...So FUCKING WHAT......Like I said if you don't want to hear answers you might not like don't post simple...So what you are going to use my name in every post?........
You are embaressing yourself.......Act like a man and just move on...
Do you think Margarito goes on crying like a bitch when he reads negative shit in the press about him being a glorified club fighter?
Does Klitschko go to forums and cry like a bitch because people show only him big brother respect?
No and they are world champions multiple times......
Your man is going no where in this sport but to journeyman row simple as that....And if he does win a world title....Even a minor title with some clout (And no British titles do not count...I am talking USBA, NABO, NABF,)....I will write a public apology....
And you will rant on like a bitch about that too.....

As he gets going fight by fight he should loosen up he will have had a lot of nerves for his debut but at 18stone 12lbs (264lbs) he is one big heavy in good shape if he can take a good shot he could course problems in the heavyweight division i think he could win the British title. All we can do is see how he goes anybody know how tall he is?

He's slightly under, Scrap. 6 foot 4.
I agree TysonBruno, he's certainly in with a shout for the British title if he can improve with every bout. First stop will be the Southern Area title if keeps racking up the wins. His next bout is in 2 weeks. Nov 15th. Will let you know how he got on..
What did he do before boxing? He looks a bit stiff but at least he finished the guy in one.
Some Brit novices would have farted about for a few rounds with that bloke.
