I believe the question was "right now", so all the "if" statements about Pac and Calzaghe aren't relevant.

Right now, Nard Hopkins gets my vote. The vulture destroying Mijares wasn't as great as a 43 yr old putting on a clinic against a heavily favored world champ.

I love Juanma, he is my fave at the moment but Margarito deserves to be fighter of the year in 2008.
And you have to give credit to Vic, i have been a harsh critic but he has answered critics the best way known and that is to KO good opponents and to unify any title in any divsion puts him into the top 3 for this year IMO.
