he also was below the weight limit weeks before the fight. it was the right strategy to lose the extra pounds early. roach is right that dlh's stomach shrunk so when he rehydrated he was only able to eat as much as his shrunk stomach can handle.

ive watched the fight three times now and dlh was actually game to fight pac. he tried to jab, he dug at pacs body and even tried to maul him by holding pacs nape and punching him three times. dlh was actually trying to hit pac,dlh wasnt like a human punching bag as i first watched it live.

pac made dlh look wasted and slow, dlh was game until the fourth round. on the seventh i knew dlh gave up already.

as for hatton he will get murdered by pac, pacs style feeds from fighters who likes to go forward. fighters who thinks they can out punch and out speed pac.

pbf on the other hand will give pac tons of problems. only pbf and jmm can beat pac...
It's not just rehydrating with water thats important, It's also very important to ensure muscle glycogen levels are full. The fact that he only put on 2lbs between the weigh in and the fight suggest his glycogen levels we're pretty low.

Also the stomach can shrink when you are 'dieting' but once you start eating properly again it will expand back to it's original size...or there or there abouts.

Albeit older Oscar.... nobody expected a blow out!!!! Destruction! (phillipino predictions don't count)

Tells you JUST how good Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales REALLY are.
JMM and Morales were in classes of their own, and Pac in that mix.. They had bloody battled wars for 12 rounds.. They were warriors right down to their core, and the fact Pac has been in amongst them and gone blow for blow with them for 12 rounds only proves even more that he will be able to go to war with just about anyone at 140 and alot at 147 when/if the time is right.
But agreed, P4P Morales and JMM at 140 and 147 would have been as destructive as pretty much anyone we've seen at those weights...

I not sure how to say this but here it goes i would think if the Oscar that fought in the 90s fought that night he would of won by a late stoppage.

If he had that jab and the footwork he had in the 90's,quite possibly. But he had neither this past weekend

Roach thought the same as well. He said if Oscar was in his prime, they wouldn't have taken the fight. The fact that he was older was a reason they took a risk at 147.
