Default Daniel Santos will fight with Sergio " Maravilla " Martinez !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Santos in San Valentin days will defend his Title in February 14 with Sergio " Maravilla " Martinez in a bout of Don King Promotion.......where probably could be present it in Puerto Rico .....................

Santos had the obligation to travel to Japan in January (this month) to defend his Title but was canceled..............but now has the offer and the opportunity to fight with Sergio Martinez in where the fight with Joe Greene was suspended due Health problem .................

Although in this bout we will see Nate Campbell vs Ali Funeka.............

This is a brilliant matchup IMO and one that will leave us on aaahhh!!
I think the style which both guys bring are tailor made for eachother and I think they will both bring out the best in eachother.

I have to side with Martinez here...

Santos is fucken tough as nails and can bang he's got rock solid hands.
But I like Martinez over 12 rounds using his speed and lateral movements.

    A tough fight to call.

Martinez was good last time out beating Bunema impressivelly while Santos has got back to the top and is the man that holds a win over Margarito (and a NC).

I'm not sure who wins but I'll enjoy watching and finding out.

Well now I just read that this fight is not a done deal. Santos is letting people know that he did not agree to fight on this date, and that Don King put out the press release to pressure him into taking the fight.

Santos says that he wouldn't have enough time to train for this date, and that he won't be ready to fight until after March.

Personally, I hope Martinez goes after Forrest, I think he should have been doing that instead of fighting Joe Greene.

Too bad Santos turned it down, that would have been a great fight, and at least with Santos it would have been for his belt.

I bet Forrest gives up the belt before facing Martinez. I don't think he wants any part of him, and because he actually thinks that he can get a big money fight.

I agree. Is Paul Williams a big money fight? Would he take that fight? Who else is big money at that weight?

I read Vernon wanted to move up to 160 & face Pavlik but it didn't work out.

Paul Williams did say that he would fight Forrest, but Forrest said that Williams wasn't a big enough fight for him, and not a big enough payday.

    It's called being a chicken $hit.

Forrest is going to have a long wait if he thinks he's going to be able to secure a really big fight.
