No, I can't see Berto stopping Collazo, but I think the people who are saying Collazo will win are crazy. He has a low output, he's very fast, but still slower than Berto, he has virtually no power, and he isn't as good of a boxer as Berto or as hard to hit.

I think Collazo could do well for the first few rounds, like you said he is reasonably fast and he is a southpaw. As the fight wears on though he is sure to slow down as Berto picks up the pace. I'm actually looking forward to this fight.

A Berto KO of Collazo? It's possible, but I wouldn't bet on it. I agree that Berto should win this fight, but I also agree that Collazo is a fighter who shouldn't be taken lightly. I think he is a very solid test for Berto at this point, an excellent gauge of how Berto is developing. I think Berto wins on points, but I won't be putting any money on this one.

Collazo can spoil a bit in fights, he had success against Hatton because Ricky had to come to him (that and he's a southpaw). Collazo has shown in past fights specifically against Cassiani and Mosley he doesn't do well against right hooks and uppercuts when thrown with speed. Berto's special move the right hook, right upper combo is going to be devastating in this fight.
Agreed, I think Berto's power & speed will get to Collazo. I think he will stop him in the last 2 rounds, although I wouldn't be surprised if Collazo can take it the distance, but I just don't see him having as good chin as Forbes, I think if Hatton drops him then Berto will as well

Collazo is a durable capable fighter but Id be surprised if he beat Berto .

Andre boxes abit like Sugar Shane did. He has got more to his game than Luis and hes still improving . Berto points or late stoppage .

Berto is much more of a pure boxer than Shane, Even though he is faster than Shane ever was, he uses his shoulders better for defense, he has a way better jab and cross, the only worry for me is that he has that tendency to stand in the pocket and he is no Floyd Mayweather, nor does he have Shane's chin.

..Hatton shouldnt have been given the knockdown and the hatton fight is not a good reference against collazo when were talking about maybe get late stoppages, lol.. lou nearly got himself one..

I dont think Berto is a squick as Shane was when he was a lightweight. That speed was unrivalled

Berto is a cross between Shane and Floyd . What a mix!

I don't understand why Hatton shouldn't have been given the KD, yes Collazo was slightly off-balance but that doesn't change the fact that he still went down from a Hatton punch, & I'd say Berto hits a lot harder. Also yes whilst Collazo did well late on against Hatton, part of that can be attributed to the fact Hatton tried too hard to go for the kill after knocking Collazo down & tired himself out, a mistake I don't think Berto will make if he does drop Collazo early

Compare there respective competition and records and I would say no.

I can though see one of those powerful, counterpunching combinations of Bertos catching Collazo by surprise and Ko'ing him.

A hunch and most of my hunches lately have been wrong.

oh yeah no question berto hits harder, his workrate is slower and more deliberate, i havent seen him tire himself out asyet, hes a good boxer so if he is to catch collazo he has more chance then hatton as hes much cleaner a boxer puncher..

the knockdown is a judgement call but for me.. It wasnt a knockdown and should have been a deciding factor in the fight but the scorecards were off anyway..

But no worries .. its not happeninggg Louie is bringing it homee

No, I'm still not sold on Berto especially his power. I can't wait for Cotto to get a shot at him!

Collazo can be a cutie, shifty southpaw but not a big banger.Id phrase it can Berto defeat Collazo let alone by KO.If Berto goes in there focusing on eye cartching fireworks he may find himself in deep waters down the stretch I believe.

If Berto gets him,I think it will be early off fast combos when both are fresh...and a bit cold. I was not impressed with Berto late vs. Forbes. He got sucked into playing the waiting and posturing game with him, falling in,eye catching flurries and then holding and I think he was looking for some wind in spots...just a little.Am VERY glad to see his handlers putting him in with a legit top tenish type,Nice step up and will answer some big questions.

I actually like Collazo in this fight. Berto isn't that good and Collazo(If he stays focused ) just mite be the guy who exposes Berto's chinks. Collazo is a big Welter and Berto is a small welter. Berto's defense also sucks and will get hit. No way will Berto KO Collazo but it ite be the other way around.

Collazo is massively overatted. He'll go the distance but he'll get dominated.

Berto wins at least 8 rounds out of 12 imo.
