Retire Roy, nothing left to prove.
I think think the Calzaghe fight was as bad as people are making it out to be. He was competitive for the first half of the fight against one of the best fighters in the world.

In my eyes it was more like 2 or 3 rounds max. Then he barely threw a punch. If Calzaghe was a big hitter Roy could have been badly damaged. I can just see him beating Sheika then getting in with someone good who can bang and being ruined completely. It was sad to see arguably the best fighter of my time nothing but a shell of his former self.

Maybe you should watch that fight again, Calzaghe landed very few solid punches upstairs, mostly glancing punches off the gloves, and most of the early rounds Jones was countering effectively, and in some cases he deserved to win rounds. He competitive in almost all of the first 6 rounds.

Point is Roy lost bad and threw nothing after halfway and has bleeding and bruised against Calzaghe who doesnt throw bombs. What would beating Sheika prove? If he wins big deal, if he loses or gets KO'd it kills his legacy even more and potentially gets him hurt. He slurs already

Roy is an alltime favourite of mine so if anyone was gonna praise up his performance v Calzaghe its me.

No please call it a day. I hope this isn't true and if it is just that he wants to go out with a win in front of his home fans!

The fights in Pensacola, wouldnt be surprised if its Roys farewell fight. Sheika is a tough guy and has a chance, but most likely Roy would get the win as he seems to have most of the advantages. If is looking at the fight as a way to climb back to the top, im surprised he picked Sheika. Like I said, I think he taking his bows.

Roy should hold his head up and walk away with pride yeah.Back in the day he would have toyed with a Sheika but honestly as rough as he looked last outing I'd venture to call this a 50/50.Sheika has been inactive but always strong, has some pop.Hope its a 'fairwell' type fight.

It's such a pity. I really enjoyed Roy's commentary when he did those fights on HBO. If he keeps it up, he could ruin his chances doing stuff like that.

I haven't seen Sheika in years but I find it hard to believe he could be as shot as Roy, he could have a real chance.
