Updates on Aussie fires.. Listen to this sick sh*t!

I have 2 updates here.. One is good, and one is bad bad bad...

First was the good news which I heard on the radio this afternoon, that they caught one of the arsonists that lit a particular fire that killed 21 people..

They can't name him and aren't giving away how they tracked him down (which is good as I want the other arsonists to sweat at much as possible about the possibility of them being caught).
He's being charged with something like :
"Starting a fire which resulted in deaths"
"Conspiracy to light a bushfire"
and,,,, the one that proves only a sicko could do something like this
"Possession of child pornography"

So it's great that they got some filth bag out of the community and hope he's strung up..



Now to the bad update... And this makes me feel sick and it's one of the more troubling things i've heard, and proof that some of the sickest people hold some of the most respected positions..
This "official press release" statement was put out by one of our head Pastors of a church in Melbourne...
He declared that "The bushfires that killed all these people was punishment from God himself against the people who approve of abortions, and most specifically, for the fact that a pro abortion law was passed in Victoria (our state) late last year.. He said God came to him in a dream last year and said that Victoria no longer has his blanket of protection, and they'd be punished with fire for the sin of supporting this law...

Now, regarless of whether you are for or against abortion laws or the actual act,,,, this guy is a fucking sicko.. This press release came out only 2 days after the fire, when the body count was really ramping up, the fires were clearing and people were realising they were left with nothing... And this "leader" comes out saying they all deserved it and that god was punishing them.... HOW THE FUCK can anyone's beliefs be so fucken twisted that they can believe this shit.. Not only believe it, but use their position to actually put this out as a press release to a Nation of people mourning?? So f'n crazy... What about compassion and love and forgiveness for all humans? Nope... People who had lost family members, who could have been wonderful amazing helpful god faring people, have to then hear this lunatic telling them that their family died at the hands of God's wrathful punishing hands and that they asked for it simply by living in a State where "sin" exists. How can this person not be considered mental in the head?
If you honestly ask me, this is as sick of a statement as ANY that have been made by terrorist organisations... If a terrorist made such a statement, they'd be locked up... But this is a leading Pastor... Now that people can see he has beliefs like this, he should be considered dangerous and removed immediately from his position.. It's almost beyond belief.

To add to that, a second leading Pastor of another church came out with a similar press release only a few hours later - On the topic of our State Premier being on the news in tears as he toured the devestated area's and met people who had lost their whole family etc. Of course you are going to be upset and touched and not be able to hold that back as you tell a Nation of the devestation...
As the side note, this was a premier who had passed a pro abortion law last year... NOW, whether he actually even AGREES with OR supports abortions is entirely seperate to deciding whether it's in the bets interest of his citizens to have a law passed either pushing abortions into backyards, or being done in safety.. But regardless of that, this is what the Pastor said.

"For the premier to be on television crying and showing "remorse" for the victims of the fire tragedy and all who died is nothing less than Hypocrocy.. To be upset for these victims, and pass a law that supports the killing of humans in the womb is a contradiction, and nothing short of Hypocracy"

These are people who lead churches... Who steer thousands of people's beliefs..

And now, regardless of your stance on abortion, this is just crazy shit, and rantings of lunatics with NOOOOO sense of reality.. It's in poor taste at best, and sick and twisted and dangerous at worst.. In fact, I can't even say how bad this sort of shit is......

The ONLY good thing I take from these outrageous statements, is that hopefully people will see how horrible the views of the church are in some circumstances, and people realize that these Pastors and leaders are dangerous because of their views,,,, and people will be less likely to follow them if it leads to being an asshole like this... And if there are ANY citizens out there who actually listen to and cheer at what these Pastors have said, they should be locked up as well....

Those views are downright horrible and show a complete lack of empathy to those who are lost and all those who are grieving. Completely cynical and to bring god into the equation is ludicrous to say the least. Im really sure god is sitting up there looking at govenment policy and thinking "I dont like that too much! Let's give 'em a lot of big fires, that'll teach 'em!". Are these people for real??

I think it might be worth posting that in the anti-Muslim thread on here, going on about how only Muslims use religion to justify death & violence. I was gonna post in there but found the thread just got me to fuckin angry & thought better of it.

Hope they catch all those fuckers who started the fires, the nonces deserve all they get. As for those pastors they need to be smacked around the fucking head. Seriously can't you let Michael Katsidis loose on each of em for half an hour, how people can say that especially right after it happens is beyond me. They're clearly fuckin nutcases.

Like Miles says, I very much doubt that God is up there going, 'these people are breaking my will having abortions, so I'll get some paedophiles to start fires killing children'. The arsonists & the pastors are cunts of the highest order.

Indeed.. The Pastor speaks from a place of hate and disgust... Neither of which I imagine, that if god exists, would encourage ANYONE to live out of, or speak from...

Maybe god was possessing the arsonists? Maybe the Pastor forgot to mention the part of his dream where god told him that HE was the one to go out into the woods and lite the fires in punishment...

Exactly Mr X.. And I just think it's terrible that they state the bible is clear.. The bible is clear on absolutely nothing.. It is a book of lessons, anecdotes, and signposts pointing to a better place for every person....

The intepretation that the church takes on many of the passages it to serve their own beliefs... I guess this Pastor is just cutting the middle man out (the bible) and advising that God gave it to him straight in a dream...

Heaps of smoke here on the peninsula today must be comming from the Churchill area fires 150 kilometers away.

Weather is getting worse next week and the fires not controlled yet.

Canadian firefighters are flying out to help us out this next hot week. 400 from New Zealand here to help already.

Some poor fireman got a vertebrea in his back smashed by a falling tree today. Not good.

Didn't hear about the firefighter who got injured.. That is bad..
Did you hear of the couple of Fosters workers who were CFA volunteers and they got the ass because they were fighting fires and not at work..

On Thurday we had a tonne of smoke, it's blown away a bit today.. But Wednesday, Thursday and Friday everything was an orangy pinky colour, and even as close at the house across the road was hazzy from the smoke.. On Thurdsay I think it was at it's worst we could probably only see about 5 to 10 k's before the haze took over and you couldn't see anything past that..

I was going to take a photo of the Haze but I forgot.. Although I took a photo on Monday over my back fence of the sky towards the bushfires.. It didn't turn out that well as it's a rubbish old camera, but in reality the clouds were thick orangy colour going up towards the sky where the smoke was mixing with the normal clouds.. You can see it a little bit over the shed.



Then on Thurdsay night I took this one of the moon.. It was really eerie and usually totally white of course.. Again it was with the rubbish camera.. If I had my dads good one you could probably see the details much better..



My house is a pretty decent distance from the fires and still when you walked outside you'd get completely reminded of it.. White cars looked pink from the sky's reflection.. It was weird...
