How many times do you need to express your joy about him being brutally knocked out?

My post looks utterly bizarre in the middle of this thread! I think threads must have been merged somewhere. I wasn't being bizarre.

I will admit that I was a jerk in my younger days. I laughed out loud when Ray Mercer KO'd Tommy Morrison.

Still, I was 18 and too cool for... roadwork.

If you express that the way Hatton was Knocked unconscious was special, its a crime around here. I love the sport of boxing, and i love brutal KO's. Everytime your favorite fighter steps into the ring he could be brutally ko'ed its part of the game we love so much. So all im saying is dont take it personal if im thoroughly enjoying the way he was ko'ed, after all he's just fine and have 12 million reasons to be happy.

Rule number two around here: Don't gloat on your fighter because he will eventually fall.

Rule number three: When your fighter does fall, dont act like he's still coming back after he has bit the dust several times over.

Rule #1 in boxing dont fall in love with the boxer this way you wont be over sensitive to everything thats said about your fighter.
Isn't there a saying about people who live in glass houses?

Anyway, BG isn't an idiot by any definition of the word. Respecting other people usually gets you respect in turn.

I fall into this category as well, but it really isn't very cool to keep blabbering on about it. You seem to be contradicting your own advice to not take it personally - you act like you have something personal against Hatton. It's one thing to enjoy seeing a KO of the quality we saw in this fight - it's another thing to treat the fighter on the receiving end of that KO with no respect whatsoever.

Have you ever been brutally KO'd? My guess is no, because if you had, chances are good you would talk about it with a much higher degree of respect, rather than gloating like you were the one doing the punching.
