All this has happened before and will happen again.

Pacquiao & Roach aren't interested in Mosley or Cotto now because they haven't accepted the unrealistic catchweights! I don't blame Pacquiao, he should remain at 140 & either wait for the Mayweather/ Marquez winner or fight someone like Bradley.

I wish Mosley would make a fight soon! He should target Williams imo

ANd thats a bad thing? Why in the blue hell would he want to fight a REAL welterweight when he is, in fact, FAR from a REAL welterweight?

I think its amazing that he moved up and took on the #1 light welterweight. Now all of a sudden he's expected to go up and fight the best WW's? I mean common, the guy's a great fighter but he's not superman. What next? Will we expect him to go up and clean out the HW division?

Exactamento!!! A six division world championship is already a feat by itself, especially coming from a former flyweight. Having the welters meet PAC at a catchweight makes the fight a lil fair.

I agree with the first statement but not the second.
I don't like catch weight fights.I want to see the best fighting the best at their optimal healthy fighting weights.I'd prefer not to see Cotto/Mosley fight weight-drained like Oscar.
If Manny feels he can compete at 147 (I don't think he can),he should move up.If not he should fight at 140 - Bradley etc.

I would prefer to see more Cotto v Mosley type fights.Than watch Pac via the shell that was Oscar type fights, that were made solely for the money.

Qoute.... "exactly, i'm not trying to take anything away from Manny, , but what him (or mostly Roach) are trying to do with these catch weights are ridiculous"

After taking the superficiality out of it.... then it gets much clearer!

I just wish PAcquiao and Mayweather would face Cotto and Mosley because it seems like these guys or Margarito before them seem to get this reputation of mythical proportions. I think people who are tired of fans of guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao way over compensate in how good they believe these guys are.

i have no prob if manny just takes on the best at 140, but he shouldn't be trying this whole BS line that he's dominating every weight class he's been in, and then call out welter's but not want to fight them at their best,IMO i'd love to see Pacquiao fight Guzman or Campbell, but if he's gonna talk all this shit of becoming the ONLY 7 division champion, he's gonna have to do it at 147 lbs

Wait, somebody said that Manny was scared of black fighters?

Its also funny that some are now implying that fighting Oscar was some sort of sure thing. Roach may have thought Oscar was getting a bit past it, may have thought he would be weight drained but its absurd to act like he knew it was a sure thing. It was a calculated risk, even if they lost it was a big money fight with a built in excuse, he was just too big.

I'd love to see Pac-Cotto but if it doesn't happen oh well.

Does anybody realize how ridiculous it would be if Manny, a guy that was at 130 just what two years ago would fight Cotto and Mayweather back to back? Who does that? Nobody.

Anyway how could anybody be upset with him fighting Mayweather or Marquez? Anybody holding out hope that he'll fight somebody like Tim Bradley or Nate forget it, its just not likely. Why would he?

arum's a dork. When margarito got hit with the cheating charges Arum whipped out the race card extra quick ranting that this only happened because tony's a mexican kid... blah blah blah.

Of course PAC gonna do it at the proper weight (no catchweight) of 147 lbs. if he will try to become the only boxer in boxing history to capture titles in 7 different weight divisions... But then again if PAC will choose a welter champ in the likes of a Urango or a Berto, he will still be castigated for not facing the bigger welter champs like Mosley, Clottey or Cotto... Becoming the only 7-division titliest will not please every boxing fan... They won't appreciate that great feat just because it's from a weaker champ...

Pac-JMM 3 or Pac-PBF is what most people wants.

can't believe i'm sayin it, but agreed, i'd rather have the welter's mix it up with each other seein how it's a pretty deep division

The welterweight division has the winner of Cotto-Clottey, Mosley, and Berto, and maybe Paul Williams if he can get back down. I can't see any of these guys fighting Margarito again.

There is a lot of depth in the division but not a lot of big fights.

Also besides Guzman, I don't see Bradley or Holt as exciting fights for Pacquiao IMO he beats both of them easily, so do any of hte top WW and Mayweather.
