Why? Vic has gone on to achieve more. Don't get me wrong I'm a big Donaire fan, but I don't think his achievements since his win over Vic warrant a higher place in the P4P, when Vic moved up in weight and unified the belts with impressive victories. Your logic, once again, suggests that we should discount Pacquiao's achievements since his losses, and that Medgoen Singsurat should be ranked above him until Pac avenges the loss.
I couldn't of said it any better myself.

I like your logic. That's another way for Darchinyan to be ahead of Donaire. Vic may defeat Agbeko and replace Donaire's spot but not for long. Donaire will be fighting a world title at 115 this August.

Vic deserves his spot, he's lost once yes but since has just about destroyed everyone he faced when most said he wouldn't even win. Williams should be on this list too. Since he could beat damn near everyone on this list twice. Hell and he could almost make the weight of eveyone one the list to prove it. Like it or not cotto's last fight was great to some and a robbery to others him loosing to margo (in question), fighting jennings, and a controversal (to some) win against clottey isn't exactly gonna light up the pfp list. If anyone should be dropped down or off it's hopkins, i like the guy but out of his last six fights he's lost three. Fight dawson or get off the pfp pot.

I think it is rightfully deserved, I have been on a high opinion of this kid long before he ever beat Vic, he is a complete package, he boxes, he has power, he is fast he has a solid chin.

Hard to argue with his in ring results as well...If he was a few weight classes heavier he would be a big star

I'm atually really suprised Donaire is so high in all honesty. His only win of note was his suprise ko of Darchinyan. Since then what has he done? He beat Maldonado but less impressively than Montiel did, and he's fought a couple of top 10 guys on little note.

He's only in the top 10 because Darchinyan has gone on to win more titles and at a higher weight, his own resume certainly doesn't warrent top 7 p4p status, not even close.

His inclusion is even worse than Christian Mijares and we all know how that went.

Seriously Juan Guzman, David Haye, Kelly Pavlik, Arthur Abraham, Tim Bradley, Shane Mosely, Chad Dawson, Thomas Adamek, they have all done as much if not more than Nonito Donaire.

It's the little guy positive discrimination at work again. These small guys fight in divisions that have literally (check boxrec) about half sometimes only a third of the competition that is to be found at the higher weights and yet people talk about their silky skills and boxing prowess elavating them far above what they really are.

Let's see Donaire actually fight and beat somebody first before he gets put as high as top 7 p4p.

I can't remember any other fighter getting rated so high for achieving so little. When he beat Darchinyan Vic wasn't even in the top 10 p4p and he's beaten no one of real significance since so why so high?

He's there because of what Vic has done since in beating Arce and especially Mijares.

The ring (and most on here) elevated Mijares well above his actual ability and when Darchinyan demolished him they have now elevated Donaire based on those results.

It's a farce in all honesty. It could have just been a bad night for Vic when he got stopped, lets see Donaire beat Montiel or Vic in a rematch before we all state he's one of the absolute world's best.

I'd rate Juan Guzman well above him.

Darchinyan should be chasing the man who humiliated and made him bleed for the first time.

aside from Darchinyan who has Donaire beaten to deserve the #10 spot, much less the #7 spot, IMO the Ring's P4P list has become a joke, Marquez finally fought and it was against a bum, Izzy hasn't fought in over a year yet both are ranked above Cotto , i say that their rankings are ok up til Mosley, after that it's pretty much just a mess, and yea Darchinyan should be ranked above Donaire, since his loss to Donaire he went up in weight and beat Mijares to become the Undisputed Champion in his weight class, then blew Arce away, what has Donaire done, and against who?

I like your thinking Elterrible. Darchinyan aside Donaire has fought literally nobody, he has the worst record of any top 10 p4p ranked fighter probably in the last 5 years, certainly top 7.

One win against a world champion, never even fought a single other world champ current or former, never fought a p4p star (Vic wasn't near the p4p when Donaire beat him) yet he's considered better than 3 time world champ Paul Williams who has beaten 4 reigning world champs I think 5 in all, at 3 different weights or Chad Dawson who has 3 wins over former unisputed and p4p stars plus a win over the two time and current cruiserweight Ring champ, not to mention he's still undefeated.

His resume sucks, the ONLY reason he is in the top 10 is because Darchinyan beat Arce and Mijares. If he hadn't Donaire wouldn't be in the top 10 its a undisputable fact.

So he's been prmoted to 7th on the rankings based soley on what ANOTHER fighter has achieved AFTER he fought him?

Donaire will keep his #7 standing (or even improve more) in the P4P list as long as he keeps on winning impressively... Donaire already established that he's P4P material after his HUGE win over Darchinyan... Any Darchinyan win will always be a plus to Donaire's resume (as long as Donaire wins impressively too)... People at Ring Mag can't really put Donaire below Darchinyan because of that HUGE KO win coupled with Donaire performing very well himself...

So you think Cotto should be ranked above Mosley because he beat him?

Definitely if Cotto was not defeated since that fight but unfortunately Cotto got beaten badly by Margcheat...

I've noticed the people who defend Donaire's #7 ranking at p4p are Pacman fans. Quite a shocker I say!

You will be more shocked if you discover that RING Mag's ranking committee is composed mostly of Pacman fans... Not your usual PAC fans but die hard PAC nuthuggers...
