As ive already said if it was a similar scenario hatton would own manny and probably end up stopping him. But if its a clean US style boxing contest mannys speed would win out all the time

if it was in a british ring with a british ref and hatton was allowed to fight his fight im pretty sure a prime ricky would of beaten a prime mosley/pacquiao/mayweather etc

But once you get to america you find yourself having to stand and trade as any other form of combat is deemed illegal. Pac would of eaten hattons forward lunges all night long and would take out ricky 7 days a week, 365 days a year!!
It's kind of funny that only the British believe in this.

I think we should start a new thread on "what if Ricky Hatton fought in Great Britain with British refs and British judges and with the form that he was in the Kostya fight would he beat Manny, FLoyd, and Mosley?"

I think that would be a great thread.

Well, that's why its called boxing. The sport you seem to think Hatton should have taken part in is either wrestling of MMA.

Hatton could have his mum refereeing & he still gets taken to pieces by Mosley, Pacquiao or Mayweather. He was prime, at least against Mayweather, & he got given a true boxing lesson. Although of course it's all Joe Cortez/the weight/Boxing rules' fault

It's funny. When he faced Floyd he was being labeled a prime, best ever Hatton; when he lost I don't remember anyone saying his chin was gone.

Then Pac comes along and demolishes the guy in the worst ever beating I saw a champion take, in a division where he said he was untouchable......the King Now you see in threads he supposedly he lost his chin back in the day against KT. Which is it; was he prime or not againt Floyd? Did Floyd take that much out of him or did KT do it? I think if he lost his chin anywhere Pac is the one who took it.

I think that Hatton is really overrated.

But now that a lot of peopl see that maybe he is a bit under rated.

Hatton was in the prime of his prime that night with Tszyu. Home territory, forught his game. ailing champ, made him quit on what was an equal card.

I think the Ricky of that night would have given the 130 Manny, who weighed that much at the time Hattom beat Tsyzu, a big beating........

Times change. Manny has evolved. Hatton hasn't.

Then, with Hatton fighting a Pacman who was moving up, less experienced, less skill, hometown...yeah, hatton would have won in less than 12.

Different story as times change though

Yes but not in the fashion he did and neither Hatton or Pac would have beaten Tszyu vs Judah.

Well I believe Tszyu was a totally different fighter at the time. If Hatton and Tszyu were to meet up before Tszyu's injuries I would have no doubt Hatton would have been stopped. Some guy's are just taylormade for each other Hearns and Duran, Foreman and Frazier. I don't think Hatton would have ever beat Pac. That is what happens when a straight up brawler meets a quick straight puncher. It will happen 9 times out of 10.
