    Maybe just a little.

For the record, I would be pissed at any fighter that signed a contract, and didn't honor it. This time, it just happens to be Pavlik screwing Sergio over.

Pavlik seems to be getting a lot of attention lately and none of it for boxing. This sounds like one of those stories where neither side is being totally honest. If Pavlik is in a bar then people should leave him alone, but you will always get one wise guy who just won't take no for an answer. A punch in the balls is what happens. If that is the case, then you can't get too angry with Pavlik.

Good. At least I now know that sucker Pavlik is still alive. I thought he had retired after the Hopkins fight or something. But seriously, he needs to fight in the ring, more often and stay out of trouble. That was what I liked about him was his relatively good nature and background.

Police: No evidence boxer Kelly Pavlik assaulted man in club
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS (CP) – 7 hours ago

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Police say they have found no evidence that WBC middleweight boxing champion Kelly Pavlik and his trainer assaulted a man in a nightclub last weekend in Pavlik's hometown of Youngstown.

    No charges have been filed.

Youngstown police chief Jimmy Hughes said Tuesday the initial investigation into a report filed by 45-year-old Ronald Cappitte of Boardman has turned up no corroborating evidence.

Cappitte alleges he walked up to Pavlik in a bar about 11 p.m. Saturday, said, "Hi," and was punched in the groin. A police report says he fell, got up and was punched repeatedly in the body by Pavlik and trainer Jack Loew.

Loew said the incident "got so blown out of proportion."

He said Kelly and Cappitte have been friends for years.

"They were goofing around and the next thing I know he lunges at Kelly and grabs him by the neck, and Kelly thinks they're still playing. He's laughing around. And my wife says to me, 'Jack, I don't think this kid is playing around anymore.' And I stepped between them."

Loew said he and Pavlik had just arrived at the East Side Civics club. The two had been at an amateur boxing show that was a fundraiser for Pavlik's gym, the Southside Boxing Club, where the boxer trains.

"There was not one punch thrown," Loew said. "We were having a great time. We just got there."

"I'm 49 years old. I got no use to be rumbling on bar floors. Things are going too good for me these days to be doing that."

Loew said several other people at the bar got into a scuffle after he pulled Pavlik away.

John D'Altorio Sr., one of Pavlik's publicists and friends, said Pavlik and Cappitte were "horsing around" and things got a little out of hand. He said Pavlik frequents the club and is very popular.

As for Loew, "Jack was trying to break things up," D'Altorio said.

Pavlik has held the WBC middleweight title since September 2007 and has successfully defended his title twice, most recently in February with a ninth-round TKO over Marco Rubio in Youngstown.

Whether this story is true or not

I think its hilarious how some fans are actually justifying this more or less coming to Pavlik's defense or happy he did this. I think the Joker was right where he said the moral code is a bad joke. Because I know full well if Mayweather was in this situation everyone here would be crucifying him. But you don't crucify Pavlik because the "tv" portrays him as a "good guy" and the "tv" portrays mayweather as a "bad guy" yet you meet Mayweather in person away from the camera and he is a great down to earth guy who apparently would even take time out of his day for someones children yet you continue to hate him because of how the "tv" says he is.
All we're hearing about Pavlik lately outside of the ring is these incidents and bad things he's doing or who he is screwing out of a contract of fighting him yet you still defend him or even try to justify his obviously negative actions because of how the "tv" portrays him. I just find that hilarious.

Uhmm no on the Mayweather comparison because Mayweather comes off as an a*s. Pavlik comes off as a good dude. Even taking into consideration, everything Pavlik does is for PR and who knows how he is behind closed doors. We can be certain PBF is a pr*ck.

Here is one place where PBF insinuates he is better p4p tham Ali: Bossip.com Archive *Exclusive Interview With Floyd Mayweather, Jr.*: “You Know Bossip…I Don’t Know Why I Am Not Considered the Pound for Pound Best!” .

Here is PBF on Ricky Hatton: "I don't think he holds a grudge against me for effectively ending his brother's career."

Here is PBF on white people in boxing:“This is not a racial statement,” Mayweather began his racially charged statement. “But there’s no white fighters in boxing that are dominating. So they had to go and do something else and start something new.” Mayweather's Race Baiting, Ignorance Comes Out Again - Boxing News

There isn't any reason to justify KP's actions if indeed there were actions as those alluded to earlier to be considered, but there has not been one charge that has stuck. Innocent until proven guilty is still the law.

Yeah when Mayweather is doing interviews and everything thats his "money mayweather" persona. It's like a character in wrestling, and he relishes in being the villain but outside of that in person he isn't that kind of prick. personally I'd rather a guy that's billed as the bad guy and act cocky to hype fights and in interviews and outside the ring and away from the cameras be a nice guy, rather then someone that acts like and is billed as a nice guy in interviews but outside of the ring and away from the cameras is a prick.
