John Ruiz stepped aside to let this fight happen on condition that he gets to fight the winner withing 90 days after the fight. Should be rather straight foward for Haye, what do you guys think?

I can't see it happening and i wouldn't want to. There is normally a way out of these 'agreements'. Seriously, Ruiz must have had more title shots than anyone in history! I reckon even i'd end up winning a HW title given enough chances, I mean surely it would only be a matter of time before my opponent slipped and knocked himself out as the bell went!

No way Haye fights again within a year. It's never going to happen.
nah he's gonna fight.
Dear God,
For a long time now, John "Grab and Jab" Ruiz has ran his mouth more than his fists in the ring. As a matter of fact, he often makes his fights look like a WWE practice before the event. By some dark influences, he's always close to getting a championship title match though he does jack and shit during the year, doesn't impress anybody and has more difficulties to sell a match than a group of scouts are trying to sell their cookies to finance their activities. Dear God, 2009 has been a terrible year for boxing, Ruiz running for a titleshot would just further ruin our beloved sport, especially in a division in a need for excitement. I am not asking you to kill or to paralyze him but could you torn him a muscle or force him to retire gently?
kindly yours.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
HAHA too true.
Who the hell knows if David will actually win vs Valuev? Sure he's expected to win, but it's not a certainty.
Also Spicoli as bad as Ruiz-Holyfield 4 sounds it wouldn't be as bad as the fight that would actually take place for a vacant WBA belt....Nicolay Valuev - Kali Meehan OR John Ruiz - Kali Meehan. Don King wouldn't allow the Don King Belt (aka the WBA belt) to be fought for without at least one of his fighters in the mix. John Ruiz not getting his shots at the WBA belt is 100% due to his not being a DKP fighter anymore...his status in that sanctioning body to be ranked that highly without actually fighting anyone is another matter
I'd say Haye has a better chance of pulling this off then Valuev

Not saying he would but his chances are much better then Valuev's to do it
The mere thought must be giving Haye a headache, probably got his calculator out thinking " surely not, two fights in one year, what do they think I am , an athlete or something"![]()
Good then make the looser of that one fight the other guy and the winner of that fight face the looser of the other match etc....so on and so forth. Drop Holyfield in that mix and keep all those ass clowns busy wasting thier time on each other instead of just wasting ours.

I don't see Haye facing Ruiz, especially in that time frame.
I think Holyfield would get Haye before Ruiz ever does, I agree with Spicoli though that if a Ruiz fight does come off, it won't be a walk in the park for Haye!
