it always was showmanship from him, he's a decent guy IMO. They are one SERIOUSLY dysfunctional family though, it's brilliant television.

Why must I be a hater when I am simply calling it like I see it? Mayweather seems the same to me in every way. True, he is more subdued this time, but I believe that is because Marquez is not very loud, flamboyant, or media/fan friendly as Hatton was. If he was, you would see Floyd's antics/behavior more blatantly than you see them now, trying to outdo Marquez and be the loudest at the party. When Cotto beats Pac and Floyd is forced to fight him, Floyd will probably be more subdued as well since Cotto has that laid-back, professional style about him that won't incite attention starved people like Floyd.
In terms of the money issue, you can still have a sense of accomplishment without bragging about what you have. I don't see these rich celebrities bragging about what they have. It makes Floyd more unlikable IMO.

he has always done charity work fools.

So you dislike brash, flashy boxers? You must have really got irritated by Trinidad then.
When Floyd came & did an open workout session in London, he was very open with fans as you could see if you unearth Smashup's thread on it. Let's face it with some people, he could rescue babies from a burning building & people would still say he was being arrogant.
On your point, maybe he just respects Marquez more than Hatton or Oscar, guys whose popularity was disproportionate to their talent.

I like to think tho', that the new Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a direct result of the maturity that has finally found him as a willing partner, at this particular stage in his life. (bar the skating rink incident, LOL. Everyone is entitled to a benefit of a doubt, fellas!).
Looking at the world (boxing) around him, must have made him find a new appreciation at what his peers have all been doing, and the direct, positive results that respectively, have since enriched their lives.
This is one form of envy that can only have but all things positive written all over it! No shame in it Floyd Jr.!
I wonder though, why he is contemplating a switch to wrestling!
Contradictory?.... How about that?

I noticed that my self in the few press confrences I have seen and 24/7 I hope that he continues this attitude I would become a fan
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!

When he says things like "he's gonna give his best, I'm gonna give my best and we're gonna give the fans a hell of a fight." That's exactly what I want to hear. He is obviously giving JMM a lot of respect and I commend him for that. I have to think that if he would have talked like that since the beginning, he would have had more fans all along. Of course, I still have a lot of friends that will buy the PPV exclusively in the hopes that PBF will get beat because he has played the villain for so long.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

What his intentions are I don't know but I do know that he has found the middle ground between the flashy lifestyle and the classy attitude. I do have to say however that DLH and Hatton both spoke English and had a huge fanbase while JMM doesn't really have either.
