Default Alexander Povetkin-Sam Peter IBF Interm Title

So these two guys are going to fight for a shot to be next in line as Wladimir Klitschko's IBF mandatory.

Do you guys think either Sam Peter or Povetkin are dangerous opponents for Wladimir?

How will Teddy Atlas help or hurt Povetkin?

And can Sam Peter ever rebound or was Lyle 100% right about him being another David Izon?

How do you guys see this fight going, assuming it happens, I think it's only rumored at this point.

First of all I only see a defeat for either man vs Wlad. Secondly Peter wasn't good enough last time and has only got worse since his fight with Wlad. Fair enough he floored Wlad but I never really thought he had Wlad in trouble.

As far as this fight goes though I see Povetkin having way too much for Peter and Atlas IMO is a very good trainer and I see him helping Povetkin progress further, although he needs to start getting in better shape if he is to be considered elite.

I think it's a great match up and will tell us a lot about Povetkin...it's a dangerous fight for him as Peter can still punch and Alex didn't seem to take even Eddie Chamber's punches very well.

Povetkin should school Peter for the distance, but he may be able to KO Sam or Sam could pull off the upset and it wouldn't be a total shock.

Good competitive fight, I just hope Sam Peter comes to fight IN SHAPE, I know Povetkin will.

And yeah neither fighter will trouble Wladimir at this point in time, both would be KO'd by Wlad right now

with or without atlas povetkin is just gonna walk through peter all night and boss him around the ring with that jab.

Povetkins proved his stripes once before against fast eddie who is double the fighter peter is. He`ll either cruise to a decision or take him out late on
    one dangerous horrible bloke

I'm very interested to see what Teddy Atlas brings to the table for Povetkin. Atlas's training isn't for everyone and it's been quite some time since he's trained anyone of note

wasn't Povetkin already the mandatory? pretty pointless putting Peter in there, he hasn't done jack shit to even merit a chance to be goin for a title shot

Personally I don't see either man beating Wladimir. Povetkin might be able to give him some competitive rounds early before he eventually gets caught. Peter on the other hand has declined dramatically since his fight with Wlad. Aside from the knockdowns in their fight Peter was pretty much dominated.

I favor Povetkin over Peter if they fight. I think his shorter, crisper punches(particularly hooks) will be the difference maker.

I see Atlas helping Povotkin a LOT with his huge baggage of experience and for having worked quite a lot with big guys. The only way I see Atlas hurting Povotkin is if they get a beef because of money and something, there I could imagine Atlas bursting his bubble and pulling a gun at POvotkin and threatening him to shoot or something.
As for marshmallow man Peters, he'd better start to finally be in a great shape with good conditioning or he'll get brutalized, humiliated and will sink as deep as it can be allowed to in the rankings once and for good.
