1)My Uncle Michel: because he had the best heart on earth and was a very smart arond. We've not seen him almost at all for the last 6 years of his life because he was hanging out with bad peoples who rip him off his money, I would love to invite him to share a discussion, to tell him what I and the rest of the family are becoming and to at least talk with him once more while he's sober and conscious of everything and to lighten up a bit more who have been more personally responsible of his downfall to see if there is anything I could do about it.

2)My Aunt Josee for person number 4 as I know it would change her life and ease it for the best.

    3) My cousin Alexandra for number #4 as well.

4)My Uncle Benoit; Died in an helicopter accident one year and half ago, have seen him only once before he died as I am spending almost all my time in Europe for the past couple years. He was managing the drugstore of my Aunt, they weren't together anymore but were like the very best friends on earth and for everything my aunt couldn't see because she's working like 60 hours a week, he was getting an eye on. Had as well one of the biggest heart you can find and has been very comprehensive with my brother (he was his godfather) and helped him a lot to get his head over water when my brother really needed money and that my sucker of Dad refused to help him in any way. Josee is a bit spaced out since he died and too many things are in the airs, I know that if she could have a dinner with him, it would solve more or less everything and she could be almost at peace with this abrupt departure. Same thing for Alexandra who's really not doing great since her dad's gone and a bit drifting, I think that inviting the 3 of them would be the best move I could ever do, even knowing that it means that I would not see peoples which I could kill for like General Rommel, Dostoievsky, Emile Cioran or Willie Pep.

My picks would be as follows.

    1. Marco Pierre White - A great chef and a guy i have the up most respect for. ( The greatest English chef ).

    2. Steven Fry - Intellectual , witty , all round good egg.

    3. Richard Griffiths - A fantastic actor , who would be great to chat to over a good bottle of wine , or two.

    4. Winston Churchill - A great man , and his sarcasm was legendary.

No boxers included in my dinner guest list , but id share a few beers with Tommy Hearns for sure.

If it has to be outside the family:

1)Emile Cioran: Philisopher and writer, one of the cleverest man who say before a lot of peoples the "true face" of human nature.

2)Dostoievsky: Perhaps the best novelists to ever lived, went to the Gulags in Siberia, has been on the execution platoon and got spared at the VERY last minute by the Emperor before they said "shoot". Has a lot to say and I would sure share all this knowledge with him.

3)Willie Pep: Genius boxer, extremely witty and comic, he could definitely have a place over my table for the sharing of his exploits and 2-3 good jokes... plus he was a sucker for women, guess it can provide for some additional fun

    4) Winston Churchill: I love cynism... and he was a genius one. Great political man, poor family man, he's been in the thick of action during a troubled period, as I am a lover for World war II history, I could for sure learn a lot from him, plus I could ask him a bit more about is pre-WWII pro Hitler comment and about the few secret discussions about discussions that England apparently made with Germany a little before it was obvious that Germany was to be defeated.

Mine might be pretty similar to the last time I did a thread like this, but I don't remember so thats okay.

    1) Noam Chomsky - He is the godfather of modern linguistics, so that aspect interests me a lot. Also, I tend to agree with a lot of his viewpoints concerning world affairs. His opinion is one that I always take note of.

    2) William Burroughs - One of my favourite authors. His life is one which fascinates me. He lived in numerous countries, killed his wife and spent many years as a heroin addict (I'm not saying all these are neccessarily good things, mind you!). On the way he became one of the most important writers of the 20th century (IMO). Naked lunch is a great book.

    3) Vincent Van Gogh - I like his paintings and is another one who seemingly led a rather unusual life. We don't know all much about him as he was largely unknown during his lifetime. He might make for curious and interesting company.

    4) Jean Paul Sartre - I'm into my existentialist writers and Sartre was a rather important thinker and writer. I think him sharing a room with Chomsky and Burroughs would be very interesting. I love Nausea and the Roads to Freedom books. Satre's politics were a bit more troubled for me, but again would make for interesting debate.
