Jones should retire, but if he wants to try one last time against Hopkins then so be it.

The point is Hopkins has never altered his body as much as Jones did in going up to fight Ruiz. Nobody has knocked out Hopkins either like Jones was against Tarver, he should retire. Losing to Green in 2 mins is unbelievable, Jones looked well out of place against Green who simply looked a beast against him. To hear that Hopkins still wants Roy Jones jr is a sad reflection on the sport of boxing when we have a super year coming up in 2010.
Yeah, the fact that he relied on reflexes more than sound technique exacerbated the damage done by the weight changes. Hopkins' style has translated into an older fighters career much more effectively.

I also can understand him thinking that he shouldn't go out after being caught with a single shot (Tarver), but after the Johnson fight I really thought he'd retire.

I hope he retires now. I really enjoyed his time as a commentator on HBO. I'd be nice if he kept the ability to do that.

Guess Roy losing to Green means there will be no Hopkins rematch, after all this is boxing and that may still be his last big money fight.
Hope the commission refuses to oblige.

Doesn't matter, the FANS wanted a rematch, usually the only people opposed to it are the die hard Lennox Lewis fans and hell even a select few of them thought a "well prepared" Lennox Lewis would have beaten Vitali in a rematch anyway. That rematch not happening was just 1 thing that hurt boxing. But I suppose this forum isn't the place to debate that
