[quote=miron_lang;849607][quote=Majesty;849254]No, I said if you think Mayweather is that stupid from the off then you already would have had hate for him. You aren't "waiting for all the evidence" to come out like people do for other fighters. When a case like this comes out its assumed that Mayweather is guilty from the start. There's no benefit of the doubt, no waiting for all the evidence, Mayweather is just a wannabe thug that got somebody shot over a text message? Seriously if Mayweather was that sensitive that someone sent him a text hoping Marquez beat him then half the boxing writers that talk bad about him would be fearing their lives.
Now there are a couple of things about that story that don't make sense, I dunno if it was misprinted or what not, but here's a couple of things.
The first story that came out said that Mayweather wasn't at the skating rink at the time of the shooting if I remember correctly because him and his children had left.
Now its alleged that Harris was standing next to Mayweather and another man during the shooting. Mayweather brought his children to the skating rink with him do you really think he took the time away from his children to go stand next to a guy opening fire on a car in broad sight?
So that means that he would have opened fire while Mayweather is standing next to him thus implicating himself. There's a difference between alleged and proven that not a lot of people seem to get.
Now if that was the case and Mayweather was standing next to the guy while he was opening fire into another car, why would the Police not charge Mayweather nor make him a suspect in the case? If there was substantial evidence Mayweather WOULD be a suspect, and the Police sure as heck would have him in involvement.
Now to quote the article "According to police, Mayweather and Harris were at the Crystal Palace Skating Center Aug. 23 when Mayweather argued with Quincey Williams about a text message Williams sent wishing the boxer bad luck in his next fight."
Alright now if that was all set in stone, wouldn't the police have a case to set a motive "Mayweather and this guy had an argument, he has motive to get this guy shot"
Now if all that is a proven case and not all "alleged" WHY is Mayweather not a suspect? And Why do the Police charge Mayweather with everything?
See there is a bunch of alleged in the article, but nothing is proven. The only thing that is proven is that they may have known each other and Mayweather lied about knowing him.
But apparently they don't have enough evidence to implicate him within the full extent of the law. It's not like James Kirkland who was caught with a gun while on his probation. Most of this as it comes to Mayweather is alleged but it hasn't been proven yet at all.
So I say wait for all the evidence to come out or at LEAST until Mayweather is charged with something before jumping to all these conclusions from the alleged that may hold some or no weight at all.
No if you believe the article, you aren't a Mayweather hater. But if you just go through every alleged and skip past everything else and jump to the conclusion Mayweather had this guy shot over a text message over Marquez then yeah, I'd say you already had a negative mind for Mayweather.
It comes down to boxing character and who people like. If Miguel Cotto is charged with sexual harassment charges some people will say "She may be lying" and some people will say "He is guilty" depending on who they are.
Same when it comes to Mayweather, some will say "he is guilty!" and some will say "Nothing is proven"
But the fact that so many people jump on an allege like they have more evidence than the police who didn't even make Mayweather a suspect, is bias. If the Police themself don't name Mayweather as a suspect or with any kind of involvement or motive then there's nothing to jump on him about. Yet...

I'm a fan of Mayweather's. That being said, if he were involved he should go to prison. But has anyone given at least a thought to the possibility he didn't have anything to do with it? Hey, I'm sure some of the people he hangs with aren't the brightest bulbs and the guy could have been trying a little too hard. He could have taken it upon himself to shoot at the BMW without any prompting from anyone else. Before we call the biggest or 2nd biggest name in boxing a 'skidmark' shouldn't we know a little bit more?
This crap is hillarious...floyd is a boxer. Not a boy scout leader or pastor. Who gives a crap if raipes pidgens in his spare time, all that matters is if you can beat him in the ring or not. And since at this point no one can, stories like these float around.......sad.
Hidden Content Click clack ! Give up the purse.........or yetti will find you.
Pretty short sited post there Mar. Screwups outside the ring by someone who says " I am boxing, the sport will die when I leave it". (which we all know is bullshit) will directly and immediately affect him. But I'm not sure Floyd is intellegent enough to know that his actions outside the ring will affect his career inside the ring. This isn't the first stupid thing he's done outside the ring. And I can guarantee you that it won't be the last.
