I guess I at least give him credit for admitting it, but I hope he comes out and now admits it on camera on 24/7 and apologizes. There's no excuse for this shit, this is a hurt sport.
I don't even know what it does to be honest, but really they could be injecting nanobots into their arms that turned them into actual terminators and if it made them destroyers in the ring who were exciting to watch I'd be all for it.

Same with sprinting. Let them take all the drugs they want, I want to see a sub 9 second world record!
The point is no one man should have an advantage over the other. But for me it ruins any sport when a man is not responsible for his own feats. Usain Bolt has revolutionised athletics by consistently proving he's legit.

EPO basically works by increasing the red blood cell count. This allows you to train longer and harder than your opponent, as well as increasing recovery times. All of this allows you to be that much more on point when you enter the ring.

So why is that banned? That sounds like a good thing? I would have thought the recommendation should be for everyone to take it. Why is that different from saying being able to hire the best trainer or the best sparring partner, or having access to the best facilities?

I don't get why some things are that improve a fighters performance are ok, like creatine, whereas another thing is wrong and illegal?

Is it an illegal drug outside of sport too, is that why?

Creatine doesn't greatly improve a fighter's performance, I've used it in the past when weight-training and found it made me feel too bulky.

EPO also has some negative health impacts, it can lead to heart problems in later life. It's nothing like having a good sparring partner or trainer because those things don't get in the ring with you. EPO and its effects do. It basically allows you to be a better athlete and fighter than you could naturally be, without having to put in the same sacrifices a clean opponent would.

The 100m Sprint was a good example.... I have always just wanted pretty much all sports/olympics to be split into two sections or classes....
One for all natural athletes (what does that mean these days, natural, compared to 40 years ago),,,, but then one where there is absolutely no rules on what performance enhancers you take....

Like the bodybuilding world has Natural body building contests,,, but they also have the super freak contests... And what is the interesting point about that?? Which contest does everyone want to follow and watch?? The super human pumped up steroid freaks contest....

How awesome would a separate Olympics be with everyone pumped to their eyeballs with performance enhancers

I think it's only a matter of time, say 20 or 30 years, when we have the super freak Olympics running along side a fading "natural" Olympics...

Kinda like the disable Olympics runs alongside the normal Olympics now.....
See, "natural" athletes will one day be thought similar to blind people with one leg...

I agree, this whole idea of winning with integrity and honour is just bullshit and goes completely against everything the human race stands for.

I mean look at the world's most beautiful people. How many of the hollywood stars have their own breasts, teeth, body fat etc? Everything gets lifted, sucked out, whitened or replaced. The photo's get airbrushed, hair is dyed, clothes give the appearance of height, youth, long legs etc.

Do we care? Would we rather our stars had to be real, that breast implants, botox, whitening etc werent' allowed?

FUCK NO! We want beautiful people gawdammit!

What about our singers? Do we want them only live on their albums and singles, no tweaks to the voice? No dubbing? Again of course not, we want it all to sound perfect, if they drop a note, tweak it, make them record it again so the track is as it should be.

Look at civilisation, did we stay living in caves and houses made of mud and poo? Fuck off did we, we learnt how to make materials and get out of the savanahs and leave the trees to the monkeys (who were not our ancestors by the way.)

What about medicine? If someone's heart, lung or hip gives out do we leave them to die? Again fuck no, we just pop somebody else's in, or an artificial replacement and carry on.

This anti drug policy is just anti human nature!

We have no integrity or commitment to higher ethical values, it's precisely our abadonment of such values that led to human progress.

Shane Mosely is just ahead of his time and true to his species. Future generations will praise him for his boldness, like Jack Johnson and Oscar Wilde before him.

Come on. Theres quite the difference between a boob job and taking performance enhancing drugs. Keep in mind that this is not just any sport. This is a sport based on hurting you're opponent. The sport is already dangerous enough without people trying to gain an unnatural advantage.
Imagine if a fighter got seriously hurt in that ring, and his opponent was caught using PED's after. These decisions not only affect the athlete (e.g blood clotting) but also his opponent. Just because Shane seems like a great dude doesn't mean he should get a pass for cheating.

I was disappointed with Shane and the result should not stand against ODH. Thankfully they do not do life bans but ignorance should not be an excuse.

if anything, this just goes to further prove how good DLH really was, cause i already had him winning the Mosley rematch, and to do so against a roided up Mosley and this was after beating up and knocking out a roided up Vargas, apart from the Mayweather fight DLH should be undefeated at 154 lbs. IMO making it one of his best weights

I agree actually that Oscar is one of the most underated fighters. Because of his massive popularity and the media attention he has garnered over the years his talent in the ring has been somewhat downgraded.

But he is without a doubt one of the elite fighters of the last 20 years.
