Many, many, many fighters use diuretics to make weight.

Roberto Duran used to use then frequently in his day.

Ricardo Mayorga tested positive for them before as well.

IMO its not a huge deal.

Yes, it is unfair, but it is not as bad as loading your gloves or using steroids.

To be honest I think a lot more boxers use performance enhancing drugs or have, and just have not been caught due to taking masking agents and cycling on and off.

Exactly. Does anyone really believe boxers are taking a chance of getting banned and losing their purse because diuretics help cut weight or because diuretics help mask PEDs? Hmmm, which one is more beneficial and worth the risk.

only case that i actually would believe that the guy used diuretics to lose weight is Chavez Jr, mainly cause he's known for being lazy in training, cause if he's on PED's, damn he really sucks lol

I didn't mean to suggest that diuretics are masking agents.

Just that more fighters than have been caught use them.
