milmascaras1, you need to get a life. It seems to me that you have nothing to do but bash on Pacquiao and kiss Margarito's ass. Get laid or something for christ sake.

how the hell am i bashing Pacquiao? it's pretty obvious that a fight against Margarito (a man who Mosley already beat) proves nothing

i agree that this fight proves nothing. although stylewise, this fight could be fan friendly and exciting fight, there are more meaningful fights out there for pacquiao at this point of his career.

my point exactly, and given the mess Margarito is involved in (the cheating scandal, and the fact that he can't get a US license) i find it a bit absurd that they're even thinking of bending over backwards to accommodate Margarito, he should just fight either Berto, Williams, or even Bradley, because i have zero interest in this fight, and don't think a cheat like Margarito should get another huge payday

Not so sure that Margarito will be stronger at 154. Just remembered his lose at 154 against Santos and him returning to 147 for his next fight. But, it has been a while since that fight.

Yes, Mosley beat Margarito, but Margarito beat Cotto, Clottey, and Cintron twice. If Margarito hadn't cheated and tarnished his name forever, his string of victories prior to losing to Mosley would be the most impressive of any welterweight now fighting. But, Margarito in all likelihood beat those guys with the help of cement-loaded gloves, and the one fight we know of where he didn't load his gloves, Shane took him to school. As they should, I'm sure Pacquiao's camp will be seriously scrutinizing his gloves. I doubt Pacquiao knocks him out, but he should beat him over 12. It's a better fight than Cotto II although I'd prefer to see Pacquiao face Williams, Bradley, Shane, or Berto.

IMO what Cotto did in the first 4 rounds against Pacquiao will be more than anything Margarito will do against Pacquiao, and IMO Pacquiao will get a TKO win around the 10th or 11th basically by overwhelming Margarito, basically every major win Margarito has is under scrutiny and question due to the wraps controversy and rightfully so, there are more lucrative fights out there for Pacquiao that don't involve Margarito, Cotto, or Mayweather (even though i still think a Cotto rematch would be more competitive than a fight against Margarito), such as Berto, Bradley, or Williams

Understandable, but Margarito is at the least new blood. Cotto was destroyed by Pacquiao. I don't need to see that again. The problem is I'm not sure the Bradley, Berto, or Williams fights would be more financially lucrative than a fight with Margarito. Certainly, they are better for Pacquiao's legacy; fighting p4p guys rather than a cheater, is much better for his legacy.

well Margarito's last fight did something like 14,000 buys which isn't all that good, so the only real reason it would sell would be because of the buzz of the wraps, which is something that boxing really doesn't need, i'd rather have Pacquiao fight a guy who's name or resume might not be as big, rather than see a guy who's name is only big due to cheating and the same can be speculated on his resume, either way Williams already holds a win over Margarito so technically he should be first in line

Default Sign of the Apocalypse: Pacquiao to fight Margarito in November

    NO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O !!!!!!!!!!!!

Please say it isn't so. Yahoo Sports reports that the fight will happen on November 13th. How in the
    HELL
does a cheating, "just-back-from-suspension" scumbag warrant to just waltz into a fight with the world's # 1 p4p ?!?!? Whose fukking purse strings are being tugged to make this farce of a fight?!? Never mind that the guy should've been suspended for life.... how do you come back from a year-long suspension, fight an obscure opponent in Mexico, and all of a sudden get penciled in for a championship fight with the world's top fighter?

Sorry for venting, but this is BEYOND ridiculous. It's ludicrous!! Boxing takes two steps forward, then takes three or four steps back. No wonder we've lost fan base over the years. In addition to the alphabet titles, the inept judges, the shady promoters, the lousy matchmaking, the posturing primadonna fighters (yes... I mean Floyd Mayweather)........ now we have to put up with THIS SHET. Fukking unreal !!!

Yes, I'm pretty ticked off. And if the fight DOES happen, I'm going to pray every single day from here to fight time that Pacquiao lands the same left on Marga-scumbag that he landed on Hatton. Either that, or slowly and gradually turn his face into ground beef over the full 12 rounds, so that Marga-jackass can find himself another career.

    Disgusting!!!

Ha ha! I said this would happen!

Its because Margarito along with Cotto are the only opponents that wont ask for random testing because they are Arum fighters.
