It's either Floyd, Berto, or the winner of Alexander/Bradley that's acceptable to boxing fans now. Martinez and Williams are too big for him.

I dont care if people say who is past their prime or washed up, these guys are still top fighters. Mosley just lost to floyd but is still a top contender, JMM is still a top contender who had two close fights with pac.

I would love to see fight pac those other guys but IMO JMM or mosley deserve a shot more aside from floyd.

Mosley is close to being a shot fighter, JMM looks like crap past 135. How the hell is that being close to a top fighter? THose 2 fights are not competitive anymore. And a lot of boxing fans will be outraged if it's those 2 he's fighting and not FLoyd, winner of Bradly/Alexander, etc.

Floyd is the no. 1 fight people want to see not Shane or JMM. The debate of who's the best of this era needs to be settled. Not taking on fighters that are close to shot.

    Wink Re: Pac vs Marquez

This fight is not gonna happen... Marquez is too good for Pacquiao and he knows it too! Enough reason why Pac avoids this fight like the plague! Pac's group have counted their blessing and have moved on, they will not risk a potential career ending fight with this ring warrior, now that the going is sooo good. Even if it represent a huge mega payday, they will keep avoiding this while they still can. It is a well-known fact that JMM sends everybody to an abrupt retirement, now why will they risk it then?

I don't know why people keep bringing this up, for it is quite obvious that at this point in time, this argument is moot.

Every fight fan now know that Manny Pacquiao is so fearful of JMM that by design, their camp has just been fighting bums all these time, one bum, and one ho-hum of a ring date after another, just so that they keep ahead and avoid that third meeting with a future greatest of all time boxer inductee/candidate, in Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao as of late, cowers now in fear as the tomato can fighters, bums 'em all, are now apparently in a very short supply. Team Pacquiao will eventually be forced to this doom, a fight, though fantastic and potentially FOTY material it may be, but nevertheless a kiss of death for the price tag is an unwinnable outcome. They dread that day when retirement is the wisest, than be faced with the blazing fury atop the ring from the greatest of the greatest ones, ring legend, Juan Manuel Marquez!

Watch out lame excuses... for certain a demand there will be, otherwise... for Pac, without it, and its use, there is only but a self appointed retirement.

As much as I would want to see a third fight, the Pacquaio - Marquez trilogy should be dead and not even be mentioned. Both of them are already in separate weight divisions. Pacquiao moved on to higher weights and Marquez was left behind. Don't get me wrong, they are both excellent in their respective divisions.

Manny is not going to get any benefit from fighting Juan Manuel. He will have to drain himself to go down to Marquez level or they will have to have Marquez blow-up to Pacquiao's level. It would not be fair to any of them. (Oh wait, I don't think Marquez will mind because he will get another big paycheck.) Whether Manny wins the fight or not, he will still be criticized for it and rightly so.

If this post does not make sense, then I will just have to agree with the above post of KananKrus.
