Never been a massive fan of Froch but that was some display. The fact that most people had this as a 50/50 fight with some edging towards Abraham goes to show how good a performance that was from Carl. He boxed very intelligently and the game plan was spot on. Can't really get excited about the rematch as I can't see the fight being any different. He's done Britain proud tonight, I just wish he'd get more exposure. Absolutely nothing in the Saturday papers, which is a massive disservice to a 2 time World Champion. Fair play Carl!!

kind of pointless that they will rematch, unless its in germany, i thought abraham won about 3 or 4 rounds early and i could easily see him having won a few more than that in germany

i dont think abraham would beat johnson or ward, and i wouldnt be surprised if he dropped out to fight kessler next

either way ive said ward would win this from the beginning and i still see that happening
Sal, stick to the weed mate. 'Abraham won 3 or 4 early rounds' Gimme a break!!!
he won round 3, for the first 3 rounds froch was landing almost nothing (its just that abraham was throwing nothing himself, he was losing by default)

i thought abraham landed some punches in rounds 1 and 2 where froch landed a few body shots and basically hit abrahams arms the rest of the round, i dont like when people just flurry on someones guard, after round 3 tho abraham started actually getting hit and didnt get aggressive until round 12, and even then he went right back to doing nothing and getting hit, fortch landed like 15% of what he threw, but abraham threw NOTHING
You are full of shit. Flurry on his guard? He was mixing punches upstairs and downstairs to get past that guard. Don't blame Froch because AA did a Clottey for most of the fight.

    Get real you numb fuck.

i haven't seen the fight yet, but a friend of mine did and basically gave me the wrap, he said that Froch basically controlled the entire fight and that Abraham didn't throw jack shit, compared it to Pacquiao/Clottey, but said that he didn't have it a complete shut out but not far from it, he had it something like 10 rounds to 2

either way props to Froch for pulling off what i'd call a pretty big upset, i still hope Bute sparks him lol

If he can manage to lose it, then win it again we'll have a three time world champ. That is pretty special!

Also his combination punching ? where did that come from ? was very impressed with that also.

After that shambles of a fight a few weeks ago, Carl Froch has made England very proud tonight well done Carl Froch.
His combos never looked so well placed and so fast, he also moved pretty fast from time to time. It's the best I ever seen him look.

Strange one to get your head around Froch, still dont really like him, still dont think he's that good

Its a shame really because for what he's done over the past 2 and a bit years he should be better known, I doubt this excellent performance changes that.

For someone who's old, slow, doesnt punch as hard as he thinks and blocks with his face he's doing alright
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

So is Carl our top fighter after that display. He just dominated a world class fighter. Haye and Khan havent done that.

Agreed. I thought if he were to win he would do it by keeping it long with straight punches and circling away but what we saw were dazzling combinations, his defensive work was great and he did all in 2nd gear it seemed. Still loads left in the tank and made it look easy. Never expected he was capable of that. It makes Kessler look good. Perhaps he wasnt as washed up as we thought.

Carl has taken his game to the next level and he is a genuine threat to Ward. Arthurs aura has gone. Dominated twice in a row.

Froch for me just don't get the praise he deserves and I hope this performance changes that.

    Well done Carl
I was expecting world war 3 with Carl getting etting dragged into a brawl. He kept his range perfectly and made AA look ordinary, well done indeed

Excellent performance by Froch, couldn't have been any better. AA is completely outclassed in the SS. Dirrell outclassed him, and now Froch. Next up Ward will outclass him. The high guard, and trying to land the big shot is not going to work against the best fighters in the world. Again i take my hat off to Froch, excellent game plan.

I just watched this on the Showtime broadcast (stupid fight card I was at made me miss the whole thing last night) and they said it's Froch vs. Johnson and Abraham vs. Ward in the semi finals.

Huge credit to Froch, I was one of those that picked AA by stoppage in this one, I didn't think Froch had such a disciplined fight in him and thought at some point he'd stand and trade which would be his downfall. I'm glad to say I was wrong, his jab in particular was brilliant, it never let Abraham get close enough to unleash any sort of shots, and his combinations were excellent. He also went to the body regularly and you could tell they were having an effect, especially when Abraham tried to complain of a low blow in the last.

I was also surprised at Froch's head movement, even though AA was lunging in and swinging wildly at times Froch's movement got him away from the punches and out of danger completely. I had it a complete shutout. Really great performance

i like the semi final line up

Froch deserves the easier night, AA had the easier fight in round 1 and Ward hasnt had any competition since round 1

Froch has had 3 tough ones
