No, I gotta agree! The ref should realise this was a big "marketed" fight, he should have given Audley the chance to weather the storm or be knocked out.
Audley fought like an amature but the ref treated it like an amature fight, jumping in just because one of them started throwing punches!
Ok there are refs that are very biased but there must be promoters who shiit themselves when they know certain refs are looking after their fighters. If that ref had been in with Benn and McClellan, that fight wouldnt be the classic it is, Benn would have been stopped in the first. Audley may not have got out of the round but instead of knowing we are left wondering.
To be fair it wasnt just because one of them was throwing punches, the other bloke was falling down because if said punches and floundering about like a cunt. Anyway the referee probably smelt Audleys areshole fall out.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
Charley Burley
Well i hope he doesnt expect us fight fans to buy into his hype any more.
Audley wasn't even sure where he was when the fight was stopped. He wasnt making it out of that round. lol
The stoppage was no way premature! Audley had just been knocked down, got back up and ok he wasn't taking HUGE punches but he wasn't fighting back and big punches were starting to get through. What was the ref supposed to do? How many times do we see fighters get stopped even when they are attempting to fight back but are taking too many punches?
Who gives a fuck that it was a world title so the ref should have let it go on? the ref could have stopped it after the knockdown he wasn't exactly jumping to his feet and chomping to at the bit to get stuck in he probably only got up because he realised he hadn't been that badly hurt and there's no way he would have got away with taking the 10 count. World title or not he had plenty of chances to try and fight back.
Hide use to call Audley "Audry" which was funny, in fact it would be interesting for them to fight.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
If he's on, I'd still watch him. PPV though, I would not. If he fights a Brit I'd be curious. Nearly all that group would murder him with pure aggression.
i'm not at all shocked at what he's said, anyone from england knows audley talks total rubbish.......i used to think he's deluded but he's after more time in the limelight more money and more easy, turn up, do nothing and get paid nights.......why is he even able to get an interview, there should be no platform left for him to speak and get heard
These sources that are claiming that Audley is going to "continue boxing" and to "fight on" seem to gloss over the one main fact in that he never did any boxing or fighting in his last bout.
I think in the approach to Christmas he could certainly get a job as a villain in Panto, though it might add a sinister edge to the booing from the adults.
I think he was crazy to have vacated the European title which he fluked his way to....I think it shows how poorly respected the Euro belt is these days in that the five fights before Audley/Sprott for that title all feature Paolo Vidoz...yet he lost all five against different guys. This is the last I'm going to speak about Audley, because the more he's talked about, the more he thinks that someone cares.
