If he's never been relevant what makes you think he'd ever get a fight with Khan?
cause he was still being discussed as a possible hometown opponent, McCloskey isn't relevant on a world stage and he's getting a shot against Khan, so it really wouldn't shock me if Witter got a crack at him before the year is out
Mcloskey is more relevant in my eyes. Defending a world title against the european champ is not that bad and will look good on paper in years to come.
Witter may have landed a fight against khan with shitty performances but managing to pull out the win. He won't get a shot now.
He is not relevant now too long out then losing badly can't see where he goes now......but he was relevant, have you heard of the WBC belt?

yea it's the same piece of shit that Matthew fucking Hatton is fighting for, the same piece of shit that was stripped from the Lineal Middleweight Champion of the world Sergio Martinez so that Julio Cesar Chavez JR of all people could get a crack at a "world title", it's the same organization that has silver and diamond versions for those who think gold is just too old fashion

, 2012 there will be a platinum belt, bet your ass on it
fair point with shitty silver and diamond belts - has actually pissed me off to the point where i cant be bothered to give them any consideration anymore, with different organisations with their own belts i agree things are only going to get worse.
Matthew Hatton might be fighting for it but the only reason the WBC title is up for grabs is because Alvarez is his opponent and he has DLH behind him.
It's good in a way that JCC jr is getting a shot if he wins he will have to step up his competition and we will see what he is really made of.
WBC is shit now, i have to agree. I don't care what titles are ever on the line anymore unless it's british etc where it's not run to make a shitload of cash.
Witter did have his moments but i think his negative performance against Judah never really left him
