I've always hated Matthew Hatton but became a fan last night. Completely outgunned in every department he didn't back down and really had a go.

Hopefully he can move back to his natural weight class and be a test for other up and coming fighters at least.

He'd be a tough test for the likes of John Murray and Kevin Mitchell if they wanted to get in the ring with a recognisable British name.

I didn't like how Mathew would be dirty and then cry when Canelo responded in the same way.

Mathew hits Canelo behind the head and Canelo pissed off hits him back and Mathew goes cry to the corner. Mathew hits Canelo below the belt, Canelo responds with a left and Mathew goes to the mat to complain. What's up with that?

Totally. Matthew Hatton has joined my hero list alongside Orwell, Finklestein, Chomsky, Barrera and James Toney.

I won't have a bad word said about Matthew Hatton. Very limited in terms of the tools he has, but he puts what he has to very good use. He's just a decent level domestic fighter and he went the distance against one of HBO's hype jobs. Good on him. He did himself proud out there and showed that Alvarez is just a bit of a hype job. I fancy quite a few to beat him at JMW.

He is still young and will improve, but I can't stand fighters who get it all handed over on a plate and that is what is happening with him and he can't even make the weights that he signs up for. It's just wrong.
