I watched Dr. Strangelove last night and had a big ol' Churchill cigar. Dr. Strangelove is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen bar The Big Lebowski.
Speaking of which, I haven't seen Dr. Strangeglove and the Big Lebowski. 2 other movies I need to watch.

Godfather Part III - had not seen any of these till recently, mentioned it to the missus and got the box-set for my b'day, so managed to watch 1+2.
I am a huge fan of Godfather 1 and 2 but don't even bother looking at three. I mean like seriously it ruined it for me for a while. Especially after 2 was better than 1 IMO I was dumbfounded and disappointed in the third. I HONESTLY wish I never watched it.

Yeah for real....2 of the WORST death scenes ever!!! ....I bet Winona Ryder falls on her knees and thanks God she gave up the female lead in that movie!

I happen to like Winona Ryder, sketchy as she may be I'd give it to her

Yeah, don't get me wrong it is not close to the worst movie ever but it may very well be the most disappointing movie ever when you consider its predecessors.

What I did about 6 months ago, was get a list of the best 100 movies ever made and started watching. At least 1/2 of them were made before 1950 or so. didn't watch them all, still got plenty to go but it gave me a good idea about early cinema.

the other thing I do is watch Turner Classic Movie channel from time to time, late at night when time for bed. have stumbled upon some great movies. to Kill a Mockingbird. 12 Angry men. Casablanca. Even some of the musicals I found amazing. Rhapsody in Blue for eg.

I remember at your age I would watch TCM because of the classic movies. I saw My Fair Lady, Roman Holiday, West Side Story, Citizen Kane, the Good Bad and the Ugly, etc. It really is a great channel.
