For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
CutMeMick,
I did the same for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez fight. I arrived early when the MGM Grand was almost empty. I was surprised that even though the ticket said the event started at a certain time, hours before there were fights.
When people started coming in, 3 fights before the main event, I saw empty seats in the distance and I kept my eyes fixed on those seats as the fights went on. Nobody was seating in those seats so on the main event I simply walked down there and took them. The worse thing that could have happened is have some guys tell me “Excuse me, those are my seats” and I would just act dumb as if I got confused with my tickets and move back to my seats, no problem. I do the same for concerts.
Great advice, Mick! My only beef with some of the undercard fights is the lack of atmosphere in an empty arena. For some reason it makes the fight less exciting but if you go to a lesser show, for example in the U.K, Sky Sports still use leisure centres and small halls for their TV shows, there is always a good atmosphere regardless. From the 1st fight through to the main event which I love
Great shout on the changing seats too..I did that for the Haye vs Enzo fight - We were so high in the rafters, I spotted some seats on the ground level which weren't taken up until the main event so I tried to navigate towards them on my own and managed to find the seats without being questioned. Friends loved me for that
Either way our good seats didn't last very long as it was a 2 rounder!
I might be able to swing the pics, as for the write up maybe when I come out the coma I plan on inducing by alcohol consumption over these next two days. Made it to stl and only a few hours away from tghe matches
I also bring a tiny notebook and pencil to score the fights. Watching multiple back to back I can never remember what scored if I don't write them all down at the time. My buddy and I that I watch fights with both do this and then compare cards after each fight, it's one of may fav parts.
So third guy goin with us was late and we just made it here n missed deontay wilder knockin out some poor sab, but took micks advice "upgraded" our seats
Haha it was till just now the people it belonged to came and had to give em up but fuck it...as for pics I left my dam camera at my buds place and my phone won't do flas cause low on battery so took like five picws that suck, but packed house got aron pryor, holyfield, direll, seth mitchell...eddie gomez didn't impress, shariff looked good dispatchin the opponent in three...
