The WBO are screwing someone over again. Poor Cleverly and Warren are trying to fight an amasing contender in Krasniqi. Who has defeated such boxers as Hakim Zoulikha and Abdelkahim Derghal who you probably havent heard of but with names like theres they must be really good.
Krasniqi is undefeated in 24 fights. The last five fighters have a combined record of 70 wins and 50 losses so they have won way more than they have lost.
In my opinion such a guy is worthy of a WBO title. Why wont they santion it and do there job.
Warren was hopeing this fight would take place to line up a super fight with the winner of Hopkins Dawson. If Cleverly beats this guy he deffinately deserves a shot against one of those two.

Yes he probably is , but as you indicate the WBO isnt a world title , its a fucking joke.
Cleverly isnt a real world champion , just like Steve Robinson wasnt.
How long is Cleverly going to fight british and euro standard fighters ? in so called world title fights.
Cleverly is mouthing off to much and doing nothing.

I think the fighter makes the belt rather than the other way around these days.

For example Chavez jr is the WBC "world" champ but everybody in boxing knows that he is avoiding Martinez and the WBC are playing along with it.

To say Robinson was not a world champion is unfair.He won the belt on 2 days notice but I know it was vacant and not against a highly world rated fighter.But in his 7 title defences Robinson beat good world rated featherweights like Hodgkinson,McMillan and Mckensie who I know was coming up in weight. Robinso was also unlucky that he was forced to fight Naz who at the time could beat any feather weight in the world.

I agree with you the fighter not the belt, Robinson was a good world champ I feel and much underrated. In boxing most fighter's shoot the shit Froch is one and many others, remember
Froch down fall was his promoter he will never be a house hold name regardless who he fights.
Lots of people hate the fact Calzaghe, was a fighter the general public new not just boxing fans,
as for Chavez Jr is he a mediocre champion with a prestiges belt, Cleverly a good champion with
crap belt. Is that piece of plastic that important, or is it the man that holds it.

HOw is a WBO belt worth a damn thing?

And if Cleverly is a champ what is he doing fighting a guy whose last 5 opponents were 70-50. Krasniqi didn't face a single guy that is decent in his 5 fights.

For example, ring ranked Gabriel Campillo's last 5 opponents were 92-13.

WBO has Krasniqi ranked 4th. If Ring magazine, ESPN, or any other legitimate sports site ranked the top 25 fighters at 175, Krasniqi doesn't make the list.
