An absolutely incredible defensive performance from the Thunder, was really happy to see them get back into the series, and the same goes (even moreso tbh ) for the Celtics. I really hope the Celtics can turn it around and dump the Heat out, don't really mind who wins in the West, would kind of like to see the old lions get one last championship, but on the other hand the Thunder have been great this season and it would be nice to see them overhaul the odds and come back to beat the Spurs, though I think tbh the Spurs will bounce back from this defeat and close out the series in 6.

Well, the Thunder just tied up the series. Durant just took over the last part of the game. I'm not so sure San Antonio is a shoo-in anymore. I also wouldn't mind either team from the West. I'm hoping the Celtics follow suit tomorrow, though, against the Heat. And in that series I'm rooting for the Celtics.

I agree, the Thunder have clawed their way back into this series in a very impressive fashion. In fact, if this series continues to provide such high quality (from either team) it may end up being one of the classics. Durant scored something like 16 consecutive points in the 4th? Really pulled it out for OKC there, but I was also really impressed by the shift Harden put in, he shot something like 75-80% tonight, major contribution there. I really hope the Celtics can somehow beat the Heat, but the Heat have to be favourites. If the Celtics win the next game though, we could end up seeing both series going right to the wire, which would be great - would love PP to just dominate game 7, pulling out all the stops in the 4th and either hitting the winning shot or dishing it to Ray Allen for a sweet 3pt buzzer-beater to win the series

I love the NBA playoffs. Strange since I couldn't care less about the NBA regular season.

I'm this close to picking the Thunder over the Spurs. Fuck it, I'm picking the Thunder. They're so much more athletic. If they just had home court advantage I'd feel pretty good about it.

I think the title goes to the Western Conference team. Just not that blown away by the Heat. I definitely think they could it all, but they're a pretty flawed team. For all the hate that Lebron gets, I definitely hate D-whistle more. Dirty player, whiny, etc.

Boston almost let one get away. If they play like that in Miami... the Heat will blow them off the court. I hope not, but I'm not optimistic.

Yeah the Celts blew a big first half lead in Game 2 as well. They could be up 3-1 right now...then again it could be 2-2 if Wade had hit that shot.

I don't give a shit who wins the title as long as it's not the Heat

Thunder just beat Spurs in San Antonio to take a 3-2 series lead.

    YEAH!!!

Now they go back to Oklahoma City. Hopefully the Thunder closes out the Spurs and take the series in 6 games, so they can rest up for the winner of the Heat-Celtics, which of course I hope is the Celtics.

I really love the Thunder. Everyone said it was over, they win 2 at home, and then go into San Antonio and beat them and the refs to go up 3-2. Hopefully they don't blow it in game six.

I should have bet on them after the 2nd game. Wasn't sure they'd win (and its still not over) but didn't buy that they were out of it (they could have easily won the first game).

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. First play of the game... Parker leans into Ibaka (was it?)... and Ibaka gets whistled. The dude was motionless!!! But no matter. The Thunder beat the Spurs AND the refs as well.

Not to mention Parker getting into Westbrook and then crying when Westbrook comes up out of the crouch and (accidentally) knocks him in the chin with his shoulder. I would say it's an isolated incident, but the officiating in the Eastern Finals has been atrocious as well (with a clear bias towards the Heat, though bad decisions all-round it has to be said). I think one of the commentators last night said it best when they said that the Thunder are 'growing up' right before our eyes, it really does feel that way - not just Durant but everyone on their team has stepped up. What about that clutch 3 from Harden? He said afterwards that they were trying to work the ball to Durant, as no doubt everyone expected, but that when he saw the clock running out he made the decision to go for it himself - great call. Ibaka was great again - almost broke a play-off record for most consecutive field goals made, I'm really pleased for this young team, in the last 3 games they have overhauled all the odds, improved their game in almost every aspect (but particularly turnovers/everything on the defensive end) and that is a very difficult thing to do, especially against a great team like SA. It looked like towards the end of that game the Spurs experience was coming into play, there was a bad inbound from Harden (I think) which sent Westbrook into a back court violation and gave SA the ball again with the game tight and little time left on the clock, but they survived their little scared and delivered in the end. My only dilemma now is who to support if the Celtics do manage to overcome the Heat: as I said before I'm not a truly loyal fan of any team, my allegiance to Chicago is based on MJ etc. but the Irish connection has always given me an excuse to support the Celtics, and as the older team I can't help but feel this will be the (current) Celtics team's last chance to win a championship for a few years, whilst OKC could easily make the finals the next two years if they hold on to the nucleus of their current squad. On the other hand if OKC did win I would still be happy for them, they have played their hearts out the last 3 games and if they can close out the series on their home court they will have more than earned their shot at the title. And I really don't like Kevin Garnett lol.

Again, I think we're pretty much on the same page as to who we like and don't like. About Parker, and that play with Westbrook.... they should've interrupted play right then and there, and handed Parker an Oscar for his performance. And yeah... that 3 by Harden was key. What a shot under pressure! I think the poor officiating is taking something away from what truly are two great semifinals. And what I don't like about basketball (although probably necessary to prevent bench-clearing brawls like in baseball)... is the quickness with which refs hand out technicals. It's getting to the point where if you roll your eyes you get a technical. Anyway, I'm also rooting for the Thunder and Celtics in their respective series. If that were to happen, I'll also be torn... but with a slight edge toward OKC.

This echoes my sentiment. All in all the games have been really good.

Is it just me? Or does anyone else wonder how the Celtic players can hear anything Doc Rivers says during their timeouts? The guy seems to have this perpetual hoarseness, which seems odd with him being such a big guy. You'd think he'd have this booming voice... but instead it seems hard to understand what he's trying to say to his players.

On the other hand, I'm not real big on Erik Spoelstra. I've heard him in some huddles... and he doesn't seem to have anything useful to say. Then again, I might be biased, 'cause I just don't like the Heat.
