I've never seen Haye go back to the corner and not be blowing I don't think. He seems very capable of handling it though. He was blowing after the first with Ruiz heavily and went on to dominate for another 8 rounds. If I ran the 100 metres right now I would breathe heavily, does that mean I'm about to collapse though?

Vitali has the ability to stand close to damn near anyone and pull back and roll to where he's damn near unhittable...and in keeping his lead arm low he's not all that open for body shots either. In fact Vitali's reflexes or reaction time is still so good that if a fighter does throw to the body Vitali is already throwing the right cross to the head....I've not seen anyone with Vitali's style ever....maybe Jack Johnson but even then it was different.

If Haye woud just shut the fuck up and fight more often then MAYBE I would cut him some slack. I would not mind one bit if Haye fought more often and earned his way back to a title shot, the more depth in the heavyweight division the better. If Haye fought more often then his shit talk probably wouldn't bother me as much, it's just the whole "Yeah, I'll bloody whup your arse in 2 years" bullshit I get fed up with.
Yeah, don't get me wrong or anything... At 6 foot 8, strong as an Ox and with his skill - you'd still have to favour Vitali. 5 years ago Haye wouldn't see the 7th.

I think that's why Vitali may not take it, he gains little by beating Haye, but with being injury prone any way and in the closing chapter of his career the risk v reward is too high.

I like Vitali, you can't not after the heart he showed v lewis, it's just a shame he hasn't had the opponents, no wonder he wanted the lewis rematch so badly, so long.

He'd gain about £20 million for fighting Haye. For me thats reason enough for any man and especially Vitali who has never had the big fights since the one he did have. He's retiring soon we all know that, but if you asked him how he would rather finish I think he'd take beating Haye up over anyone else in the world. It made me laugh when Charr stood up at the press conference and no one even knew who he was!

Hahah, Haye was funny about it.

Kept reffering to him as 'this guy' and 'vitali's opponent' with a bemused grin on his face

I don't know how much Vitali normally makes, but I sense a touch of Bob Arum about the Klit camp. Make less money, but keep the lions share... Or make a little bit more and share it with someone you dislike.

Again I blame Boente for that. Everytime I see Vitali he sounds like he wants to fight Haye and then that little arse hole says that it's not a fight they're looking at!

Vitali has said today in Moscow that Haye turned down his chance to fight him in favour of fighting Chisora. It's funny because the arse hole (Boente) agreed that the winner of a potential match up between Haye and Chisora would get a shot at Vitali about 20 seconds before the brawl.

If I ever came across that man i'd love to stamp all over his face!

Everyone saying haye redeeemed himself lol If anyone redeemed themselves lately it was vitali! Byrd and the arm injury anyone? He handled chisora with one arm for 7/8 rounds....ppl acting like haye put on a masterclass lol it was a messy fight and haye didn't exactly set the shot up with precise precision or anything! They were dukeing it out and chisora got caught. Vitali will beat haye.

Not with one arm and slower legs he won't... that's the point, he's always been injury prone and when you factor his age in you have to wonder how many fights he has left.

Who exactly said that this fight has made the Wlad fight vanish?

It was goid to see Haye actually come out to fight abd refreshing to see him being a good winner and relatively placid with any trashing or xalling Vitali out... That's about all he's been given?

He's been given due props for walking his talk against the level of fighter he did... Not had anybody say more than that.

Anybody saying Haye COULD beat Vitali is basing it on Vitali aging, not Haye bring a phenomenone.

Vitali doesn't have long. If he doesn't fight Haye by the end of 2013 then I doubt he ever will.

So Vitai's getting older, he's still got the upper hand and would be the favorite to win. Haye is athletic but he won't throw with reckless abandon the way he did vs Chisora if he's fighting Vitali.

To beat a Klitschko you've got to apply constant solid pressure, be accurate with your punches, and have a strong defense....I just don't see Haye having any of those attributes.

All evidence on that w/r/t Vitali specifically is to the contrary.

Vitali managers has said that Haye yaps like a little dog and that no way is Vitali frightened of Haye. He also said that Vitali plans on retiring but could come back for one farewell fight.

Haye's accuracy at HW is above 40%. Very high I think. I also think Haye has a decent defense!

Other than the last sentence though I totally agree with your post. Vitali would be favorite going into the fight and Haye couldn't be as reckless as he was when he was finishing Chisora off, Chisora isn't a puncher and though Vitali certainly doesn't punch like he once did it'll still be more dangerous than Chisora's no doubt.

I just hope Vitali leaves the steroids alone!!
