I will definitely be watching as much of the coverage as possible on TV, as I usually do.

I don't like all sporting events equally, but will usually watch whatever is available at the time I'm also available to watch. Puerto Rico has not done very well at in the summer Olympics, but this year we have our hopes set on 400-meter hurdler Javier Culson, who hopefully can bring us our first gold medal at one of these games.

Regardless, I plan to thoroughly enjoy these games... and look forward to more than a few record performances and memorable moments.
Good luck with the 400 hurdles, we have the amazing Dai Green going for gold for the GB team, hard to beat that lad !
Looking forward to see how our new 100m wonder kid goes Adam Gemeli, he used to play footy, was a youngster with Chelsea at one point. He just won the Gold at the World Juniors in a PB record time, certainly not a medal hope but maybe a shout for the final!
We should be strong in the following events, sailing, cycling and swimming, and of course the beautiful Jess Ennis for the Heptathalon !

Yeah... I saw they went 1-2 at last year's World Championships, with Green winning the event. Should be a barnburner..... very much looking forward to it!

I've been watching the preparation and practice for the events for months where I live. The traffic is gonna be carnage.

As for the sport - I will watch virtually all the athletics. And keep an eye on lots of the other events.

Yep, to be fair it should be a close race between the two of them !

I will be watching the diving and hoping that Plymouth's Tom Daley gets a medal to dedicate to his late father. We (Britain) should do well in the boxing and cycling, rowing, swimming, and some track events. The 1500 and 10 000 metres are always great spectacles of pacing and endurance and I shall enjoy watching Jessica Enis, who is 100% babealicious.:-P

I think the red lanes purely for olympic traffic would piss me right off... there are some postcodes that will not be able to get any mail during the whole length of the games.

They always sell it bigtime stating how great it is for the economy of the host country... where was it last time errm oh yeah, Greece nuff said.

The last time I watched the Olympics seriously was the time of Nadia Comaneci; yup, when most of you kids here were still lovely angels somehwere out there. Very choppy coverage of Olympics here so can't watch much of it, exept boxing and basketball, the favorites here.
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

Javier Culson is great. But I think recent form and home advantage will get Dai Greene home in that one.

Hopefully they'll both be in the final heat. If Javier makes it, I'm pretty sure the final will be watched very intently here in P.R. I haven't heard much about our boxing team, and neither of the basketball teams (men's or ladies') qualified for the Games.... so Javier will be our best bet for a medal.

Dai tried to get into Culson's head in the days leading up to the final, and almost didn't qualify himself. And although Culson had to settle for the bronze in the event, my own satisfaction is that Greene finished 5th and out of the medals.

Javier Culson totally bottled it like he always does.

I feel sorry for you PR fellas.

The guy hadn't been beat all year, had all his comp covered, yet embarrassingly shit himself when it mattered. Without heart talent is pointless.

"Embarrassingly" you should reserve for Greene, who talked shit all week long... barely made it into the final... and finished 5th..... BEHIND Culson.
