Let em fight but can't see too many being interested
These are boxers with big egos like the footballers they would not resist it, especially the old ones that have done it all. To fight for only 3 rounds would be easier for them too.
well shit, let's make this thing happen

Pro hockey teams in the games. Russian pros played amateur for years on the Red Army team.
    Pro soccer players
    Pro tennis players.
Even the fastball teams at least on this continent play pro
All of track and field on a pro circuit
    Cyclists
    Shit even beach volleyball.

    Why not?

They could probably not get past the head gear and three rds scored by robots.

Yeah, top amatures often get grants. It's not a case of here's 60 grand though... The majority is for training expenses etc.

I don't want to see pro fighters in the Olympics... They've always been a brilliant platform for young talent or a launch for top guys looking to go pro. Real life changers and anybody who's been around the game knows what it takes to get there and what it means.

Tradition has always been you develop as an amature and the olympics are the peak of that.

*Good post. I totally agree. It was something to strive for as an amatuer... boxing is the last sport that doesn't send pro's of somekind. Basketball gave in..there' was no reason to change the rule for them..just becuz others r send ing pro's... so what. I really believe that if basketball sent only amatuers in basketball, more atheletes would stay in school longer.
