My first choice would be the winner of next week fight with Jcc Jr vs Martinez. If Martinez win, that would be for P4P #1. 2nd choice, B-Hop. Just would like to see that.

By the way the title of this thread should read "Who necks"

Because there's no one there. He just beat the best light heavyweight in the world. I doubt the result would be much different if they fought at 175. And the other guys in that division are all a step below Dawson, so at least two steps below Ward. Don't see any point in that.

If JCC were somehow to upset Martinez, that would be the obvious fight to make, since Jr. has no business fighting at MW anyway. He really ought to be at light heavy himself. But I just don't see any result other than Martinez totally dominating him.

While Ward-Martinez would be very interesting P4P-wise on paper, Ward would have to go down to 160 for that to happen, which I don't see him doing. Martinez really can't go up in weight again -- he's still a natural 154-pounder (which again, makes a Mayweather fight the more natural option, though I'm not holding my breath for that either).

Rematch with Froch probably is worthwhile at some point, but just because it's the least bad of bad options. I think that rematch would be even less close than the first one, not for the least because Ward's hand was broken in the first Froch fight.
    Apart from Pascal...

Jean Pascal, Andre Dirrell, or Lucian Bute, were he to beat Froch in the rematch. Of those options, Andre Dirrell probably is the best choice. Both were Olympians in the same class. They were scheduled to face each other before Dirrell was injured in the S6. Ward has beat the rest at 168. Jean Pascal isn't a bad option either though because he brings a lot of $ to the table if the fight was held in Canada.

Any 175iber is going to look at that fight and think twice about losing thise 7lbs. Saying that, none of them could beat Ward anyways. Bute would not be close at all. Froch? Do he want it? I think he will rather do what he already planned on doing. Beat Bute again then fight Kessler.
Darkhorse: Since Abraham have a good chin and KO power and a title now, maybe

Hopkins, Cloud-Pascal, Cleverly, Froch II, either Dirrell, Abraham, Campillo, etc.

Ward will find someone to fight and it's going to be big.

He will fight Magee, or Magee will fight Abraham and the winner will fight someone

I know nobody wants to see it after his destruction by froch, but I wouldn't mind seeing ward-bute. Bute has skills and ward is a completely different fighter and wouldn't just be able to walk thru butes shots and punk him, I think it would be fairly intresting...then again its just as likely that ward would mug him. Hell I read an article over on ringtv that wards coach is looking at rematches with kess and froch, which I wouldn't mind seeing on neutral ground. not saying the outcomes would be diffrent I definitely see ward beating em botg again, but kess was sort of headbutted to hell in the fight...they might make it closer this go round

Unless Ward is going to travel, im not interested.

If he wants to fight Kessler, go to Denmark and do it in front of a crowd, if he wants to fight Froch go to England. He gets babied.

He needs a ref that isnt such a fucking spastic and wont allow him to lurch in with the lead right hand just to hold, thats his arsenal, thats his game plan. Its like watching a 47 year old Hopkins. All this talk of Calzaghe, even now id give him a good shot of beating Ward. Andre wouldnt be let to hold, hed be made to work and weve seen him look shot late against Froch and Bika. Hed look like that in the 8th with Calzaghe.

More money in america thats why the fights are usually there. Hatton went there many times in the prime of his career and so has khan.
Ward makes more money this way and so do the opponents.

True, but there's no need to ONLY fight in Oakland what about Vegas or NY or freaking LA for that matter. Andre Ward fights in his backyard ALL THE TIME! 4 of his last 6 fights have been in Oakland.

I wonder if anyone at 160 could move up to challenge him, at one point in time I thought Andy Lee or Peter Quillen would run 168, but right now it's all Ward. Now the question becomes: does he unify the titles & defend them, defend his titles, or move weight divisions in search of bigger fights?
