He's a good middleweight, hell half drunk pavlik gave sergio a tough fight , at supr middle he's never looked that good even his rematch with taylor. wish he had given it one more true run mw and not just go for a cash grab, which is what this feels like. On top of it all ward's style is just all wrong for pavlik.

I think this will be one ugly boxing lesson....though if Pavlik gets lucky and wins he could fight Froch which is an intriguing matchup to me (though Froch demolishes Pavlik at this point in time as well).

To be honest Pavlik's best hope is to fight JC Jr.

I would genuinely laugh out loud if Pavlik wins this. Furthermore right after the fight I would believe in god and the tooth fairy.

I've always liked Pavlik, it's too bad he ever fought Hopkins. He was never the same afterwards, another example of a fighter having his confidence crushed.
Against the Ward of today, Pavlik didn't have a chance before or after Hopkins.

They should paint a big bullseye on Pavliks face to make it easer for Ward.

So Pavlik wants to be forced into retirement after the most terrible beatdown from boxing history?....

I dont see Ward hurting or stopping Pavlik unless its a cut from his fucking head...

I can however see Pavlik hurting Ward at some point. If he does, Ward is in trouble. Ward does get caught, watch the Bika fight. Hes not the defensive master everyone would have you believe, he is just good at getting away with lurching in with the right hand to hold.

Bob Arum is cashing in on Pavlik, after he loses to Ward he will get him to fight Chavev Junior. I do not believe Ward has the power to stop Pavlik.

Pavlik will always have a punchers chance. That's all I'll say about this fight.

Also, Ward does have tendency to get caught, even if it's just for a second of loss of concentration.

Dangerous fight for him, it has the setup of both a spectacular performance from Ward, and a brutal upset for Pavlik.

Even more dangerous, is that both can happen in the same fight.

And yet Froch/Ward 2 is unreasonable.

The fight isn't unreasonable, expecting a different outcome is, in my opinion.

What are we thinking about this fight? Does Pavlik stand a snowballs chance in hell? He'll always have the power to hurt Ward but I doubt Andre gives him a single opportunity to do that. Tailor made for him in my opinion..
I wish my boy Kelly all the best, and hope he pulls it off, but TBH, he has to be a big underdog, with little chance.

A little chance is more than what Dawson had. Some morons thought Dawson had a very good chance.

Dawson who was already shown up as a lazy mediocre fighter by Pascal but was bought down a division and weakened.

Do you think Dawson would have got as far in to the fight with Pavlik? Froch would have done the same as he did to Bute, probably what he did to Mack.

A strong, aggressive Pavlik has a better chance and is a better fight than a week timid Dawson.
