If no Matthysse fight is lined up before the end of this year, it's hard not to call this a duck job. Khan I was a great win for Garcia, but Garcia ended it decisively, and Khan hasn't fought a top guy to earn another crack at Garcia.

I agree on this, Matthysse deserves the shot above Khan. If Khan can get in 2-3 more good wins then he should have a shot late 2013 or early 2014 and that's if he can get those wins. I think Khan is a big name though and might be a bigger money making draw than Matthysse. Matthysse is also a lot more of a risk too. But I think Garcia wouldn't shy away from Matthysse though, it's not really up to Garcia who he fights it is up to the promotion team. I'm sure along the way this fight will defiantly happen though.
This Matthysse must be good? Sounds like even if Khan beats Garcia he will vacate anyway to avoid this guy.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Garcia will duck Matthysse and lose to Khan if they fight again, ending his 15 minutes of fame.
Schaefer just talked to Dan Raphael and said the fight he most wants to make is Matthysse-Maidana for this March.
Matthysse-Maidana has been a much-discussed fight among fans for the past couple of years.
"If I'm going to do Malignaggi-Maidana, I wouldn't want to take the risk at the Barclays Center," Schaefer said. "I'm probably going to do a fight for Paulie (April 27), but I don't see many other headline fights for him at Barclays. Do I think Malignaggi-Maidana is a good fight? I do, but I am not sure that's the main event at the Barclays Center, a big, big arena. I don't want to put that fight in a huge venue.
"Right now, I have been thrown a bit of a curveball with this (Malignaggi-Mosley) fight situation, but we will move on. We will have an event on April 27 on Showtime and we are coming up with the right card, but it won't necessarily be at Barclays Center. My first choice is Lucas Matthysse against Marcos Maidana, assuming Matthysse wins on Saturday, from the West Coast."
Schaefer said there are several possibilities, but it will come down to money.
"A fight between Andre Berto and Paulie Malignaggi would be of interest to the networks and fans," he said. "A fight between Maidana and Matthysse is of interest. A fight between Malignaggi and Maidana is of interest. Now there are different amounts of license fees being paid for these fights, so I will go to Malignaggi, to Maidana, to Berto, to Matthysse, and I will tell them what the different purses they can make and we'll go from there."

Hoping that Garcia sparks this chinless dummy once again, but I have a feeling Khan will win on points.
It all depends on how Khan chooses to fight. If he is sensible, he boxes Garcia's head off on his way to a one sided UD. If he gets too involved, he runs the risk of being ironed again.
If Khan fights the right fight it's an easy win for him.
Khan will never have an easy time with a capable puncher. I really don't think it's in his makeup to fight smart, and even if he does manage to hold things together he doesn't know when to throw what and overextends himself all the time. The guy is very talented but very stupid, even for a fighter.
