I cringe at people calling Marciano a heavyweight. I know he was in his day, but come on, if he faced any of the decent fighters of the last 30 years he'd of been destroyed.

Excluding the last few years of course.

I understand the Vitali over johnson due to longevity How about Liaston? Yes Holyfield is definitely my #10 if I think about it now. Yet he couldnt really beat Bowe who was not such a big deal according to many, MANY on this forum. Nor could he beat Lewis either time.

I honestly don't think too much of Johnson or Dempsey. Liston , Holyfield and Vitali would smoke them both
I agree-- my eyes were recently opened up whilst watching the manassa Mauler vs several opponents. I wasnt very impressed with that rushing in like a ram and grappling and holding type of shit. Even Marciano looked more ballerina-like than Dempsey, which is really saying something isnt it. Dempsey has to be questioned in a way I think, I took a fresh look at him and I think guys like Holyfield could take his shots and fire back and smoke him. No way does jacki beat Holmes or Lewis or any of the big guys. Riddick Bowe smokes Willard, so no way does Demosey get away with tat Willard shit vs Bowe. I say Andrew Golota smokes Dempsey even.

Who does Dempsey smoke? Dempsey vs Marciano woulda been some bomb-out slugfest

A bomb-out slugfest that ends with Dempsey warming up a cheek on the canvas.

Dempsey fought at 188. Thats just a pound or 3 over what Rocky fought at.
