Haye has more power, more skill, and he's done it consistently in higher weight classes.

    You're kidding me? Harder opponents
Well, based on their weight class yes.
Obviously we're talking pound for pound relevant to their own weights...
Lol my respect isn't measured by weight class lol.

So I respect David Haye more as he fights giants.

Who's achieved more is another matter, as that's not something that is opinion but fact.

Froch. He lets his fists do the talking. Haye lost a lot of my respect with "Toe-gate".

So David Haye should be more respected than Marquez or Pac or Mayweather etc?

I almost follow your logic... (Almost)

froch, even tho i consistently pick against the guy and he consistently proves me wrong, it's like i'm a glutton for punishment, but the guy is an exemplary fighter.

It's a silly comparison. Froch is a man who stays busy and fights tough fights. Haye is more a posing boxer. He puts on the mask whenever he fancies a payday. Froch just gets on with it. Froch is for real.

You gotta respect both, I don't know how you decide who to respect more.

Froch is a fighting Champion, has b@lls as large as grapefruits, is exciting, and fights all the best guys in his weight-class.

However, Haye was also a World Champion, and went up in weight to the Big Dogs of Boxing: The Heavyweights.
The Heavyweights is why weight-classes were invented, because a good Big Man is the true King of the Hill, King of the Sport, and no little dog can f*<k with the Heavyweight Champ of the World.

Every one of these World Champs is all other weight classes know they take the backseat compared to the Heavyweight Champ who could clean out all the Champs in all other weight classes.

I don't think this topic holds water...

    Well yes, in a way.

That's not to say that I believe Haye is a better boxer. He isn't.

But he's fighting guys 6'6 to 7+ foot fighting at 200lbs to whatever Valuev weighed.

HW is a little tougher also because there isn't a weight cap, every other weight has a limit for safety and fairness.

It's only natural to show respect for that alone.

    Too many people disowned Haye.

Something which is shocking to any world champion.

17-1 on this thread in terms of votes.

The weights might well be capped everywhere else but heavy BUT only on the scales. There are fighters drying out to weigh in and are coming in 20lbs heavier at welter. That is a bigger percentage of body weight than 20lbs for a big fat heavy weight.

    David Haye 217lbs v Valuev 310lbs.

    93lbs weight advantage.

Show me that at any other weight than heavy bud.

Valuev was garbage...shouldn't even have been holding the title when that fight happened. Valuev flat out refused to fight Wladimir or Vitali, he was just like John Ruiz he wanted nothing to do with the actual kings of the heavyweight ring.

Froch doesn't have to do a whole bunch of trash talking, Haye does because of how little he offers in the ring. ***GASP*** Yes look at Haye's style, it's 1 big punch at a time, yes the guy is skilled and he COULD make something of himself at the heavyweight division but he doesn't want to get hit, he doesn't want to do the work to set up his punches, and he loves the life of a sports star not the dedication and hard work it takes to be a sports star.

Is this a trick question? Froch is a true warrior and fights whoever, whenever and would fight his ass off even if all his toes were broken.

Froch no question. Froch is a real man's man, a true warrior who goes out and gives it his all.

I was excited about Haye because he was an exciting HW, but how can you respect a guy who talks so much shit only to put on a shit show like he did against Wlad and whine about a toe.

    Froch all day.
