I watched a couple of rounds of Lopez-Ortiz last night. One thing's for certain, Lopez-Maidana is going to be a slugfest. This could be another FOTY candidate. I'm definitely going to pick one of them before Saturday.

I just can't forget Angulo getting schooled by Kermit Cintron, if he couldn't turn that into a fight I don't see how he gets around Lara enough to make it interesting. I'm fully expecting a straightforward easy decision win for the Cuban.
Maidana over distance in a raw scrap. He looked pretty sharp at new weight, found a jab and wonder how Lopez will come back after roller coaster, not to mention brutal beating at a weight he shouldn't have been at.
Reluctantly and barely going Lara to bore down the pace and win as much with his legs as his hands with Angulo. I just don't think much of Lara at all and he should have a couple more 'L' on his record but Angulo has the boxing imagination of a bologne sandwich, then again I don't think Lara has the mentality to stand at range and rip off hurtful combos. He fights on the cheap, just the way I see it.
Stevenson shocks with tko over Dawson. I think Dawson has been going sideways in career most of the time and Stevenson will not be in awe. Smelling body damage big time.
Gamboa should track down Perez but per norm, he'll square up and get nailed ugly before its over. Gamboa distance.
Dawson was a fool to go down to 168 to fight Ward. But this fight is at 175. He should be at his best. Boxing is a job to Dawson. He doesn't care much for the sport. It shows in the way he fights. Normally that's not a good thing for a fighter. But in this case I think it helps Dawson. It allows him to easily put the Ward loss behind him
