Hope it's in the uk, floyd will have more fans over here than he does in Vegas he might find that weird lol
It's going to be in Vegas at the MGM grand. That was part of his showtime deal, it's exclusive to that venue.
I still think it will be a good fight. Obviously, it had a lot more appeal before Khan got TKO'd by Garcia and rattled by Diaz, but his speed alone will cause anyone, Mayweather included, some trouble. Then, Mayweather will land a punch and it will all be over.
Totally agree that mate Khan with push Floyd hard and make him fight at a fierce pace.
Only way to beat Mayweather is speed and i think Khans faster.
This will be a brilliant fight if made and Khan will make him fight every second of every round.
Gonna be very interesting this and could be one of Floyds toughest fights in years.
He was blowing pretty hard i noticed against Ginger between the latter rounds and that was a million miles away from the pace Khans gonna set and i can see these two going all out toe to toe sooner or later![]()
He hit the ginger with about a hundred shots that would've put Khan on queer street though. I don't think this is even a good fight myself, Khan has no chance at all. Speed alone doesn't mean anything against someone as good as Floyd. Khan has poor timing, footwork, balance, everything. He gets clowned if this happens.
Khan's going to get knocked out again.
He's still a top guy, and another good name though.
Lately Floyd's been taking on these younger hot-shots, and he deserves the credit for doing so.
Agree but thats the big appeal.. Khan will do his usual super fast flurries for a few rounds then go for the tear up as soon as he gets hit heavy , start walking round like a pissed new born horse then fall over
Mad thing is like most of khans losses if he didnt go all guns blazing and lose his discipline he'd do better.
Another thing and i said this after his last fight.... to me he seemed a bit cloudy in the head after even slurring a bit..i actually wonder what effect some of his fights are starting to take on him.
He's been on the business end of some big punches and taken some beatings in the last few years
It definitely makes sense, and I agree with all of that. Trouble is if he did fight Khan in the UK, the PPV buys drop by a tonne and that is still most of the revenue for big fights. It would be like a noon start time in America and people wouldn't be keen on that.
As for the fight, there really isn't anyone better for Floyd right now. He still has 4 fights left and obviously Showtime want them all to sell, Garcia could use another big win or two and if Khan doesn't get his chance now he could lose to pretty well anyone else he fights.
