Default do the dirrells want to be unlikeable?

first, i thought andre dirrell was a great fighter. i thought that he easily beat froch in their fight and was destroying abraham until that whole incident. at the begining, i gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was really hurt, but after all of his talking and acting ridiculous, i started to not believe him anymore and realize that he was just annoying and didnt want to get hit.

then anthony was alright. i didnt mind him until after the bika fight. raising his hands at the end of the 12th like he won for sure and then leaving after the decision and not taking the interview was ridiculous. he acted like he was robbed when he wasnt. it was a close fight and he was fortunate enough to get a draw.

do they want people to hate them?

I know what you're saying and I agree. I also don't like all the complaining. Dirrell complained alot to the referee on Saturday night about Bika's rough and ready style and he seemed to stand there waiting for an apology instead of hitting him back.

I must confess I don't like Mikey Garcia for similar reasons. Like the Dirrell's, the kid has bags of talent but he kinda cried out of the Salido fight when he was giving him a boxing lesson and then he came in overweight for Juanma making a mismatch fight 10 times worse.

For me, its more frustration rather than dislike because i really like Andre Dirrell... anthony is just whatevers..

Andre dirrell is the most physically gifted fighter ive seen since roy jones and it sucks to see him let it go to waste..

I dont dislike him at all. I just want to know where his head is at because I believe he could be the best fighter of his division if he can put everything together..

During super6 tourney, I believed he was the only guy who could beeat ward. Thats how highly I think of him.

I really think the abe fight scarred him mentally. Ive seen many amateur fighters who showed this kind of effect after certain fights or after gett7ng hit by certain punches...

Sometimes, its not the pain caused by the punch that changes a fighter's mentality but something inside of you tells you that u never want to get hit there again and from there u start second guessing yourself..

I love Andre Dirrel's style though.. he really is the Matrix...

From the few fights I've seen of Andre Dirrell, I felt he has good skill, but the thing that turns me off is that he "runs" just a bit too much. You know there is just that certain amount of evading an opponent in that manner and after it crosses that thin line into the "too much" category, it makes a big difference in how the fighter is perceived. And of course it doesn't help that Andre does that lifting both hands in the air while evading against the ropes. So, in summary, if Andre would stand and fight a bit more, I think many more people would have become fans. And yes, it's very sad to see that he has been absent from the scene for way too long.

Anthony definitely came off as unlikeable after the Bika fight. It was an idiotic move to assume he had won in a fight that close because I would have a hard time believing his corner was telling him he had it in the bag. Now that being said, I wanted him to win as he showed good skills but the running around with the hands raised gesture took any empathy I may of had for him in regards to that fight and threw it out the window.
If you think you can......you can, if you think you can't .......you're right!
