Another slow predictable plodder who's gonna get beaten on points in Floyds 3rd snoozefest in a row.

Khan would have given him big problems and he knows it.

This is gonna be a total.shut out like his last 2 fights, Amir would have at least made this a real fight.
good joke bud, Julio Diaz was shot to shit and still Khan barely got by, yet he's gonna give him a tougher fight than the likes of Canelo or Cotto

This is going to be worse than Floyd v Canelo. How does this help Floyd's legacy other than giving him another W.

Nothing but respect for Maidana but frankly Floyd can phone in his combinations from his hotel suite in this one. I mean come on. To me, Maidana exposed Broner as unproven and a flawed faulty fatty and not sure how that translates into a 'top threat' for the consensus best fighter in the world other than the mutual 'brother' schtick that lost its punchline. The moment we hear Floyd dropping family business or revenge factor they'll cut to a shot of Broner still pulling his trunks out of his arse in the front row

Personally, I believe Maidana is going to suffer some serious damage in this fight. Odds are going to be for the UD but I'd throw a little down on a Mayweather stoppage. Khan would get caught early. He's shown a tendency to get drawn into compromising positions, and Mayweather would make him pay dearly for it. I would bet the stoppage had Mayweather fought Khan. Khan has faultered mightily against tougher competition.

How could you say the Alvarez fight was a snoozefest? Because Mayweather won? Mayweather has consistently brought it his last couple fights.
It feels good to be back home.

I don't know about serious damage but he definitely will not win, in my opinion.
I really don't know why Floyd is fighting Maidana, other than the fact that he thinks it's a sure win, maybe he is giving Broner a lesson on how to beat Maidana. Could be that he wants to teach Maidana a lesson or he might just have Cinco de Mayo in mind, even though Maidana is not Mexican.

As good as any fight out there for pbf really, not like there is a row of more deserving fighters out there. Glad Amir didn't get it, you don' go to outboxing the best boxer in the world like some seem to think he would do after essentially scraping by a past his best journeyman, plus that dam chin.I like Amir always fun to watch but he needs to work some things out first. Who knows maybe floyd finally gets old and maidana gets lucky and cracks him early and keeps him dazed and we have a fight, but that's wishful thinking, I'm guessing most likely we have a 118-110 on our hands, but really that's the case with most anyone floyd fights so...

What a bitch move by Floyd.

Khan is clearly the harder fight and Maidana is perfect for Floyd, he'll be lucky to land a punch on PBF.

    Fight will be a snoozefest.

    Floyd by UD 118-110

    Quotes:

Floyd Mayweather: Marcos Maidana’s last performance immediately brought him to my attention. He is an extremely skilled fighter who brings knockout danger to the ring. I think this is a great fight for me and he deserves the opportunity to see if he can do what 45 others have tried to do before him – beat me.”
Marcos Maidana: I am extremely happy to be facing Floyd Mayweather because it will give me the opportunity to show the world that I am the best welterweight in the division. I just handed a great defensive fighter his first loss and I plan to do the same to Mayweather. I don’t care whether he’s the best and undefeated. I will bring some real Latino power to him on May 3rd.”

It's basically just the Brits upset that Khan isn't getting the fight. They're thinking of the best Khan we've ever seen having a chance against a guy with bad hands who doesn't punch that hard at the weight. But Khan is already on the back nine of his career and last time out went life and death with a lightweight journeyman ten years past his best.

We've heard every excuse possible from Khan over the years, the most recent being that he was so tight at the weight at 140 it was taking his strength and making him chinny. But his last fight was at 143, a weight he picked, and he was still garbage.

And people are upset he isn't allowed to fight the pound for pound number one guy at a weight he's never fought at and never had any kind of meaningful win at when he looked so bad in his last fight and hasn't done anything impressive in the ring for years?
