maybe because he already pulled off the upset last year by fighting at super middleweight against a cruiserweight.... said it before the fight I'll say it again, the fact that Jr needed two go's at it to finally beat the guy that YOU YOURSELF LABELED A BUM, isn't impressive, especially when he had a HUGE weight and size advantage especially the first time around, this win is no better than Cotto sparking Rodriguez, sorry to hurt your little feelings but yea, Jr is a bitch

Chavez didn't look very good though. Golovkin can throw 100 punches a round, is technically class, and hits HARD. He will destroy Chavez and put him back on the wackybacky brownies permanently.

See, I thought that Jr looked pretty damn good. Vera has a granite chin, there's nothing you can do about that except keep hitting it ( he pounded that midsection too). GGG-Jr would not be as easy for GEnnady as people are thinking. Imop

I agree with DannyV here. Chavez would not be no walkover for GGG that is for sure.

Let's be real about this. ggg would be the toughest challenge of Chavez' career but the same can be said about GGG who has never fought a young hungry matador like chavez. Jr would definitely be the biggest name on his resume thus far..

Chavez aint no bum ass african part time baggage handler like Adama, he aint no muthafuckin ordinary Brit like macklin, he for sure aint no skinny ass homeless Jap like Ishida, he aint no fuckin punching bag like rosado, and he sure as hell aint no shot to pieces Ouma who gave ggg hell..

Chavez got a great chin, good body punching skills , youthful energy, and GGG isnt hard to find... those factors can get ggg beat..

Vera is an animal n does have a granite chin, but also had some good head movement, lil lateral movement and a good double jab against Chavez Jr.

He didn't used to use those tools as much when Jaidon Codrington and James Kirkland stopped him.

The fact remains, Chavez Jr. is much bigger than those guys and could not stop or drop Vera.

I'd put money on Jr. to beat GGG.

Chavez Jr is hungry alright. And the toughest challenge thus far was that all you can eat buffet after the Vera fight.

So finito. If GGG beats Chavez will you give him credit? Or will you just say he fought another bum?

i think that most people picked chavez to win the fight. most people that i read said that chavez in shape would win. i agreed. chavez looked alright and vera looked normal which isnt that good. it was a B level fighter fighting a C level fighter.

As always, I would give credit where its due. Chavez isnt a bum and he isnt shot like the guys ggg have been cherrypicking.

If ggg were to win by KO, youd have to take him more seriously.
