I saw Mosley fight one night at the Forum, early in his career after a long lay-off. He was off, missing punches badly and out of sync. Until he started working his jab. Then he got sharp and started landing punches and knocked his opponent out. I have seen a lot of Mosley, going back to when he was 9 years old, and his jab works real well.

Forrest had Shanes measure, but Shane was as fast as in this period and would shuffle forwards with a jab and a combo instantly off a reaction while still moving in so there was devastating power and body weight coming in behind the added speed of his jab. Vernon had a solid jab he would stick it then move out from behind it, always did fight more traditional style. I thought he had a real hope in this fight years ago just cause of that (Mosley moving in and Forrest sticking it). I wasnt expecting the uppercuts or for Shane to be put into raw survival mode so early on though, after the knock down for 2 or 3 rounds they both forget their jabs Forresst is rightly trying to blow him out of the water and Mosley is trying to survive.Early in Round 5 you'll see them both return to their usual and it stands out even more in the first half of the round cause they settle. The rest is history from then on Vernon wasnt worried about fighting inside or outside once he landed clean it was on where ever. Shane didnt want to be caught comming forwards again so I dont think he got the chance to relax into his normal mode.
Hagler!
Unbelievable what he could do with it alone or a set up for his combinations.
