Evander Holyfield couldn't even retire with grace!

Agree 100% Spicoli. Holy was the greatest Cruiser ever and an ATG top ten heavyweight. I'm a big fan of both Mike and Evander, and think both had their struggles n mistakes like the rest of us. While Tyson was more dominant during his reign, he benefitted from a weaker heavyweight division, where Evander fought all do the best from the second best Heavy class of all time. Head to head Evander beats Mike every time, which isn't to say that Mike is a bum, just that Evander was made to beat guys like Tyson n was the better fighter overall. While he had women issues n stayed around too long, Evander was a class act in my opinion n one if the greatest warriors to ever step in the ring.

Its amazing, its like lore surrounding the Loch ness Monster. Whats lost is that these two actually fought..it happened..twice! All the excuses about Tyson being shot and done etc. and ignored is the exact same was being said of Holyfield. He was picked by more than one publication to be KO'D in 1 round ffs. It all suited Tyson after and only after he got his arse kicked.

Absolutely agree on all counts. From the Tyson fans there has been a lot of major history revisionism. Holyfield was considered to be a shot fighter or close to being shot going into the 1st fight especially after gassing out in his 3rd fight with Bowe and looking lackluster in the Bobby Cyz fight, and many people were concern about the man's health and well being. Not only that, but Tyson had just regained his aura of invincibility after dispatching Bruno and Seldon in short work for their alphabet titles.
