So "damaged goods" is a term applied to Groves because he has been stopped by a hard as nails active division champion but not Dirrell himself? And you are actually being serious here?

Groves has a much bigger profile than Dirrell, he is still independently ranked higher by all the main boxing publications, even though Direll has that WBC belt.

Anyone that plays second fiddle to Sakio Bika, twice, on undercards, wont be calling the shots against anyone that actually has a fanbase

Because Groves is his mandatory. Ok, he may have the right to a voluntary, and if he wants to give that to Paul Smith, good luck to him, but he has to fight Groves after that. My point is the excuse about Groves "not being worthy", yet Paul Smith is? Does he know what happened to Smith when he fought Groves?
If Dirrell wants to fight in the States, fine , that's the Champion's prerogative, but don't start trying to make comments like you own the division when you've done fuck all in it.
Infact, what the fuck did Dirrell do in the last few years to earn title fights himself.

Oh yeah I'm not saying Dirrell is right, I'm just saying I can see why he doesn't want to fight Groves. He has nothing to gain because Groves is a tough fight but damaged goods. Even if Dirrell had an amazing performance and starched Groves in 30 seconds of the first round, people would just say "oh big deal, Froch already ruined him". Tough fight, nothing to gain, I can see why he's trying to avoid him.
hed probably get a decent pay day tho, specially if the fight was in the UK

you can argue is reputation is on a hiding to nothing but his bank balance would benefit

Any thoughts on Dirrell vs Jack? Boxing match, slugfest or a snoozer? PBF says it's Jack's fight to win.

Anthony will knock him out I think. Jacks chin is a little shaky and he stands straight up. Floyd is backing Jack cause he promotes him. Anthony being the less skilled of the Dirrell brothers is also probably Floyds last hope for Jack.

I used to always compare the Dirrells to the Klits. One had the heart, soul, metal and raw power and the other the skill. Anthony has gone a little stupid since the first Bika fight and is sort of emulating the attitude of his older brother who I thought would win the S6.

Jack is a very hittable flat foot. Dirrell with his head out of his arse and mobile sharp should beat Jack to the punch long time.

Dirrell-Jack is on SKY.... obviously because the winner has to fight Groves next.

Groves is with Sauerland, but for some reason SKY love showing him. To be fair , they got good mileage out of him and Froch.

Groves fight against Rebrasse apparently wiped the floor with any other viewing figure for boxing last year (on Sky obviously)

Yeah clearly Sky love him, he never stops having a pop at Eddie but gets on all the shows

Wow! never knew that about the Rebrasse fight. good on him. I hope he wins a World Title, I do like the guy, and I reckon he was just starting to get on top in the 2nd fight but made a silly mistake.
I also think he must be either really strong minded or really frustrated because it was his for the taking and now nobody will take him seriously for a bit. I think Froch got Lucky. There, I said it!
