Could these two fight for a shot at Wlad? Who would win?
I pick Povetkin. Wilder doesn't do too well against pressure, and unlike Stiverne, Povetkin can cut off the ring.

"Doesn't do too well against pressure".
Ok the guy's 33-0 with 32 KO's. Prior to Stiverne, no one had gone more than 4 rounds with him.
Based on what historical data are you stating that he doesn't do too well against pressure?
Not saying 100% chance he beats Povetkin... but keeping things in perspective... many people expected him to implode against Bermane.
He didn't.
What now?
First rounds are either feeling out rounds, or a complete Pandora's box, when fighters get caught cold before establishing a pattern or even getting warmed up to the flow of the fight. I think Wilder can be forgiven for looking awkward when pressured in that first round. Especially when he himself dropped Firtha twice en route to a 4th round TKO win.
He's already calling out Fury and claims he "falls down a lot"
Says the man who has still not been punched in the face by a heavyweight.
Make it happen Mr. Wilder.
I did give him fair credit after the fight but Stiverne barely landed a glove on him. He never got caught clean once. He fought a smart fight. The idea after all is to hit and not get hit. That's what he did ergo I want to see if his chin holds out to even a mediocre good shot and see what kind of recovery he has.
Until Wilder fights & defends his title, he is supposed to be questioned. Wladimir has had 20 plus title defences and he's still being questioned.
Wilder beats Povetkin better and cleaner than Wlad did it.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
